This is a thin piece of plastic that will cut into your hand while in place.

I had to return the splint. I loved the concept of the splint, however; it is thin and lightweight and will not hold a severe drift. When I put it on, the drift in my fingers, caused by RA, just pulled the splint out of shape and went back into the drift position, causing the splint to cut into my hand. That being said, if your drift is mild or just beginning, it may work for you.

I find this to be extremely helpful with typing and finger alignment

The fabric covered wires that are supposed to hold fingers in place do not and they are very uncomfortable. This doesn’t stay on my hand well once I start moving my hand around.
