Great looking DDR4 kit with some manual OC potential
These sticks are quiet pricey compared to the plethora of other DDR4 sticks on the market but your paying a premium for arguably one of the most aesthetically pleasing sticks of Ram that offer solid quality and reasonable performance in terms of frequency and timings. The sticks come very well packaged, with each module inside its own plastic housing within a foam inset, should help keep the safe and secure and no doubt adds to the whole experience. The sticks themselves are weighty and very well constructed with a black and silver finish that should work in most builds. The Top is embossed with Dominator DDR4 in a lighter finish while on the sticks themselves you get the silver corsair text on on side and some nomenclature on the rear. There is the underglow effect, but its subtle rather then in your face. You can of course get the replacement light bar headers that have two cutouts to provide a stronger effect. One thing to keep in mind is these sticks are very tall. I would therefore double check any cooling solution you may have, in particular large HSF coolers such as the Noctua NH-DH15 etc.Technical***********A bit of heads up, those on Haswell-E running the kit like 3000 Mhz, will find when enabling XMP, the CPU will set the strap to 125 mhz . Its the way Intel have done the ratio and running RAM on Haswell-E between 2400-3000 Mhz using XMP will often change to 125 Strap. You can manually play with the settings to use 100 mhz strap but its not easy running 3000 mhz on 100 strap. Personally using the 3000 mhz 15-17-17-35 kit, running the kit at 3200 mhz and setting 100 strap was easier as 3200mhz is set up to use 100 strap. In terms of overclocking, using the kit rated for 3000 mhz @ 15-17-17-35, I have no issues changing it to 3200 mhz @ 15-15-15-35, so could be worthwhile tweaking the settings to get a bit more performance out of them.Summery***********In all, while these are pricey sticks of ram, your honestly paying a premium for their looks. Performance is mid-high end and not quiet as good as some kits with tighter timings, but still very solid performance. In all a stunning looking kit that looks great through a case side window!

Build quality is insane. Also works with RYZEN!
After using this ram for over 3 months now, i am over the moon with it,For everyone wondering if its ryzen compatible, it is, i have this ram running at full 3000MHz on a Msi x370 sli plus with a ryzen 1700! Works flawlesslycomes well packaged and once you handle the product you can feel the premium quality and the high standards corsair lives up to . The ram comes with a full metal cover/heatsink which looks great and allows great over-clocking,Only problem is i dropped a dimm on my wooden table and left a dent in the table. Ram is fine. No damage what so ever, product is build like a tank!BUY THIS RAM !

white lights cannot be controlled, super fast, solid build quality, XMP works fine
super fast and the xmp profile 1 just worked and set the speed and timings to as advertised - no stability issues whatsoever.really well packaged and amazing build quality.one thing that is not advertised is that the modules appear to have these subtle white led's, but they don't seem to be controlled by the corsair software. not a good or bad thing, just for information.all in all an excellent product.

glad this was chosen over Trident-Z's offerings
Well, glad this was chosen over Trident-Z's offerings. Solidly-built, robust DDR4 modules, perfect for a modern gaming system. Looks the part too - subtle white lighting helps to break the current RGB fad, and give a sleek look to a system. Miles better in terms of every aspect over older DDR3. Granted, this is a pricier set of DDR4, and whether it's justified it's up to you.

Sorted My Ryzen Reboot problem
I just got a Aorus Gaming GA-AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard, with a Ryzen 1800x and was using old 2 sticks of Corsair CMK32GX4M4A2400C14 which I believe is on the Gigabyte QVL list, could I get it to work stable? , no hard locks reboot etc. Even with 2 sticks, 4 sticks was a massive no go.Annoyed as I didn't want to spend crazy money on ram since I had leftovers from my X99 system.I had a look over at Reddit, somebody had posted a list of all memory that was working with Ryzen, Although these were not on my QVL list i went for it anyway. 2 sticks 8 gigabytes in slot 1 and 3 and running on XPM 2 profile no problems at all 2933 speed well happy and no hard locks or reboots since. These are Samsung B die single sided. single rank.the only downside 1 the price and 2nd I won't be able to fit a second kit to give me 32gb as my Evo 212x is overhanging the 4th slot and these things are huge.*Update I have now purchased a 2nd kit giving me 32gb these work fine at 2933 and so far have had no problemsmy motherboard is the GA-AX370-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) (F8Bios)as for the overhanging issues I had with the 4th ram slot, I removed the fan on my heatsink and raised it up until I had clearance for the ram module, I now have about 2cm of fan popping up over the heatsink, this doesn't seem to have affected cooling.

Worth every penny!
Stuck these bad boys in with an i5-7600k / z270k SLI Pro and defaulted them to 3000MHz (highest stock), was not displeased! No installing issues at all, managed a PerfTest9 score of 3083, average a nice 25°c idle and around 28°c on full load so paying that little extra for the fancy heatsinks is worth it.Haven't really overclocked my RAM before but I honestly see no reason to, a solid choice for any PC gamer looking to upgrade from DDR3
