fixed 2011 ram 1500 4wd
I have a 2011 ram 1500 5.7 crew cab sport and have been without 4wd for about 6 to 8 months, every time I tried to put it into 4wd my service 4wd light was coming on and it would stay on awhile and then go off eventually, I took it to the dealership and they said that it was a bad drivetrain control module and wanted a ridiculous amount to change it, I ordered it myself and changed it and it didn't do anything, they said that they would have to rescan it but I was feed up with them ripping me off, after researching online I read an article that said if there's a problem with the 4wd that 95% of the time it's the transfer case motor so I said what the heck and tried this part and it fixed everything, now my 4wd works on every setting and it only took me 15 minutes to change, if you have a brown wire coming from the transfer case you have to take a screw driver and force it out and back into the new part but it was simple, hopefully someone else will be able to fix there truck without the aggravation of going to the stealership 😎 update still works a long time later 👍

works as designed
worked perfect for my 2011 ram 1500. just need to de-pin the ground wire from old one and snap right into new connector. easy job. operates as designed 8 months later still

So far so good
Installed a few months ago and used several times. So far, works just fine, though I haven't had it long or used it very much. Direct bolt on and appears to be of good quality. You will have to pull the pin out of the old plug and stick it into this one. You'll do so for every single part out there as FCA attached that last wire directly to the TC.

Worked well, but have to remove the brown wire.
Worked great. Same dimensions as the OEM on my 2011 Ram 1500. Just be aware, if you do not want to dismantle the entire transfer case, you'll need to remove the brown wire from the connector on the transfer case switch because it is wired directly into the transfer case through a grommet. You'll need a pin removal tool to push it out of the old connector and insert it into the Dorman connector. The position in the connector is open and in the appropriate location..

Plug and play unit - easy to install and works as it should
Seriously the hardest part of the install was disconnecting the plug. Straight forward otherwise. I would recommend an extension socket for the top bolt of the 3 bolts for the unit. Plug didn't seem to have a positive click when I reinstalled it but after a thorough drive and cycling the transfer case it works fine and no more red neutral light.
