At first when I received this item, U said to myself? Oh No! Not another let down, another dissatisfied customer! But No? This item turned out to be a Pleasant Surprise! It's the way they packed it. It was professionally packed heavily. They stacked the pieces on top of each other and so it appeared like just a small piece was there. However what I received was several very sizeable cuts and the Freshness was Perfection! They also arrived rather quickly. This is a Butcher I will Revisit time and time again! Excellent choice, ready to eat, there is no usual salt which had always been hard to clean off. I am eating salo all my life and this is something extraordinary. Excellent packaging, with proper insulation, looks very safe and I think it even exceeds the standards. Ordered another pack right away, hard to miss opportunity to stock really good salo.

I got the pork belly yesterday. It wasn't shipped with dry ice, so it was warm when I opened the package. It looked like there wasn't any meat. It was all skin and fat. I didn't feel safe using it and ended up throwing it away.

these remind me how my grandfather in germany cured the fatback from his pigs. it tastes delicious, half of it went cut into small cubes into scrambles eggs, fried potatoes or even soups, but t h e T a s t e is excellent. very thin cut, you could eat it on some fresh bread and need nothing else. i am lucky i have a german baker in town, where i can get a variety of german bread and these two items where made for each other. fantastic tasting bacon

I disliked the way it was presented as 3 pieces of fat back and when it arrived I only received 1for the high price of $45.00. I haven’t used it yet so I don’t know how it really tastes.

Now this is the pork belly I remember from Romania 🇷🇴 It tastes nearly identical to what you'd get in Eastern Europe. It ships from Canada 🍁, but the rind has a stamp indicating that it comes from a butchery in Brooklyn, New York - go figure. It arrived room temperature, because the ice packs had thawed. That doesn't bother me much though because it's pure fat and doesn't spoil easily. Overall, worth the price for such a rare product.

Product came vacuum sealed and packed with cold packs in thermal box. Fine quality and good taste. Reminiscent of what I ate as a child in Eastern Europe.
