A bit finicky and one sided
I didn't read the directions the 1st time I used it. I thought it just a heating pad, pretty straight forward, no? lol. So my bad. But the 1st time I used it, it kept turning off. I'd set the temp and thought I was good to go since the timer was already counting down. Nope! I guess if you don't touch the timer button after setting the temp it doesn't work. How silly. Why does the timer count down if it's not on?Also when I read the directions it said that you should only use one side of it, the side opposite the tag. Never in my life have I encountered a one sided heating pad! I don't know if that's because it's infrared or why? On that note I really wish they mentioned the infrared and explained it on Amazon or on the directions. It only says infrared in a comparison chart and I almost wonder if it's a typo because it's not mentioned anywhere else. Additionally I wish that there was more control over the temp and they didn't jump 20 degrees...and why isn't it a consistent jump? The 130 setting is not hot enough and 150 is too hot. Why not jump 10 degrees every time? I had a similar older version of this heating pad (it lasted nearly 10 years before giving up on me) and it just had low/med/high. This has a digital read out, so why not give us more control? I'm kinda missing my old heating pad. I'm hopeful that this one has a better effect if it is in fact infrared. I got the more expensive one because of the mentioned infrared and it's weighted, but it's not much heavier than the old one tbh. I love the fact that this gives you moist heat, that's why I bought the original. I hated using wet clothes or misting my heating pad and dry heat makes me hurt. It did mention however if you live in a dry climate or your AC causes dry climate to use a humidifier in the room. Luckily I don't have a dry climate but it's good to know. Overall this is a good heating pad compared to one without the moisture features. It's well made and gets super hot. I just see room for improvement and it's kinda annoying. This is a pricey heating pad. I wish they could have worked out the kinks by now.

Great quality, gets really hot.
I love this thing. Regular heating pads don't get hot enough. This one has ample settings - I mostly use 150 and 167 degrees. Really great quality and one of the best purchases I ever made. I use it for period cramps, back and neck pain, or just to stay warm while I work at my desk. Have recommended it to many people. There's no issues with it and it doesn't use too much power - I have older electrical wiring in my house. It's very bendy and comfortable, with no pointy wires in the middle of it. I think it is worth the price and glad it isn't more expensive. I could easily see them charging over $100 for this. Just be careful because it provides such good pain relief that you can over do it! I did get some redness on my belly a few times. I've had it for 1 year now with no issues.

It well worth the higher price for quality
End user loves this heating pad. Not only is it very high quality, the moist heat is much more therapeutic than dry heat. No water added. This thing pulls water from the humidity in the air to intensify the heating experience.

Gets Hot!!
Had it 2 weeks and working great. It gets hotter than any other I’ve had.

Expensive for crap!
Expensive for crap. Lumpy, difficult to work. Shuts off by preprogramed timer so no personal control, incomprehensible pre-set heat levels, really dumb design, to top it off -uneven heat distribution. Don't waste your money

The BEST
Excellent! I purchased two other heating pads that didn’t even get hot. While this was pricy, it is weighted and goes up to 167°. It is worth every penny. The cover is removable and washable. The weighted really makes a difference to me. Best heating pad I’ve ever used. Stop wasting money on junk and invest in this if you often use a heating pad.

best heating pad on market
struggle with lower back pain from time to time. regular heating pad never does the trick. this heating pad get in deep and will burn you out. size is long and is excellent, I've bought 3 off these and have even given these out to relatives as gifts and a few weeks later always get a call thanking me because its like nothing they have ever felt in terms of pain relief. best bang for your buck.

Heats quickly, moist heat is good
Heats up quickly. The moist heat makes my joints feel better in almost no time. Be aware that this is a weighted heating pad. The weight helps it stay in place (for me). Other heating pads that I bought only lasted a few months before they have failed. Time will tell if this one lasts for a while. Another reviewer noted that you need to place the correct side of the heating pad against your body. That reviewer was not 100% happy about this. It doesn't affect my use of this heating pad because it is simple to feel for a sewn-on label on the "non-heating" side (it's crinkly). Many competing heating pads on Amazon are like a soft blanket. This one is not. I comes with a cloth slip cover that isn't the softest, but it does not give me any problems.
