Best pencils ever
These pencils are definitely overpriced but they are the only ones I use anymore! LOVE them! They write so smoothly and erase so nicely for doing my puzzles! You do have to sharpen often but they sharpen so nice and are always on center! Love that I can adjust the erasers!! They last forever, too.

Smoothest writing pencil w a great eraser.
Best pencils on the market. My 9 year old granddaughter even enjoys doing her math homework using Blackwing 602 pencil. It makes writing a breeze... so smooth and effortless. I even think it improves your writing skills even though that sounds crazy. Guess you should try it to see what im saying here. Great for sketching with the sharp point you can achieve and mistakes can be easily removed by it's wonderful eraser.

The only pencil for me.
These pencils are expensive, but they write so much nicer than others. Gliding it across the paper has a feeling akin to a high quality pen, and very little pressure is needed to write.

Writing with Blackwing pencils
I write children’s books, and take notes with pencils. I need a strong lead pencil that writes like ink. Blackwing pencils are exceptionally made and wear so well. I don’t use any other pencil. Well worth the price!

They're pencils. But there is a kind of cool factor to them.
Any pencil will do, but sometimes it's nice to use something of bygone era. That's what Blackwing pencils are for me. Not just a writing or drawing tool. It's a slice of the past. Overall it's a great pencil for a premium price, and the packaging is very nice too. It'd make a good present for someone who would appreciate it's history and quality.

Simply The Best
I started my journey as a self-taught artist almost 10 years ago after a 30 year hiatus from my earliest Crayolas. As I began purchasing more and more art supplies, I went through some of the better brands- Faber Castell, Derwent, Staedtler - you name it, I've tried it. But after getting back into more freehand pencil sketching I decided to give the "best of the best" a try. It's truly the best, don't know how or why but the smoothness these pencils provide is unmatched. The price is ridiculous but I have a feeling it's due to overall inflation and shortage in materials due to COVID. Thank you for continuing to create marvelous products!!!
