I feel like i should have a bit more knowledge about sonic before hopping into this series lol, regardless it is still easy to follow and a fun read.

I’m going to get the other comics. These are really good. Not only do they give little treats to long time sonic fans, but the new characters and story lines are deep. The artwork is fluid and well made to suit a cartoon, perfect for sonic.

It's sonic so buy it fast.

See my review of vol 1 if you haven't already. The comic continues to impress me with its take on established characters. So far, all characters are written better than they are in the games. The comic continues to give each character a purpose in meaningful ways. Often I found characters being thrown into the games for the simple sake of having them. This comic gives a reason for each character to be a part of the story and they help push the narrative. In this volume, the story starts to unfold more and it fleshes out lore and the universe of Sonic. The comic tries to explain and justify stuff the games left behind without much thought, this comic does a decent job at cleaning up the mess left behind by the writing of the games. The volume was a good read and those who are fans of Sonic Heroes are in for a treat.

I saw a lot of reveiws for this series saying that Sonic Forces, the game that takes place before this series, was very rushed. But I have seen 0 complaints about Sonic Generations, where they literally just took levels from other sonic games, and just put them into the game and barely added anything new. Also, It doesn't matter if it was bad for a lot of people, It was made for children. And as a child who has played many Sonic games, I thought it was good (gameplay not story). Oh,and the books are good too.
