Q: How is this different than the regular version? Is it only lower case instead of capital letters?

This is more of a phonics version of bananagrams. There are pieces that have the TH and the PH and other double letter bricks like OO and IG that help the players work on correct spellings of words where phonics are involved! It is a fun game for newer spellers and readers or those looking to learn how american english works!!

Q: What happened to the keychains?

You would need to contact the manufacturer, if they are no longer on the product then the manufacturer must have decided to cut back.

Q: Would this be good for a 7ur old or should I just buy the regular banana grams that has more tiles?

I’d buy the regular tiles for a 7yo. We got the junior set for my 5yo and it was way too easy for my 7yo. The junior set has letter/sounds as a double combination to make it easier for them. And there aren’t very many tiles in the set.

Q: what is the size of one of the letters?

This was a gift, but my impression is that the size of letters is the same as the letters in the original Bananagrams.
