Ditch burnt, joyless burgers for bold, flavoursome and wonderfully surprising barbecue food ‘Packed with over 120 tasty and tantalising barbecue recipes’ – Great British Food Here are over 120 of the very best, lip-smackingly good barbecue recipes from ex-Ottolenghi chef, Josh Katz. Perfect for sharing and pairing in different combinations, all of the recipes are a celebration of flavour . A book that is not just for meat-lovers , equal status is given to vegetables so that they are never treated like a sideshow. Instead each and every component of the meal is big, bold and completely unforgettable . Taking inspiration from East to West, from the modern to the traditional, these barbecue recipes are like nothing you have ever encountered before – mashing tastes and techniques from New York, the Middle East, London, North Africa and beyond. With recipes including Cauliflower shawarma with pomegranate, pine nuts and rose; Harissa hot wings; Blackened hispi cabbage with lemon crème fraiche; Honeyed pork belly with pineapple salsa; Monster prawns with a pil pil sauce and Saffron buttermilk-fried chicken with tahini gravy, you will be inspired to grab a bag of charcoal and a lighter, and create your very own barbecue feast .

Everything in it is mouthwatering!
The book has all the classic Berber & Q recipes and lots more besides! So far I’ve only cooked the skewered monkfish kebabs but I’ve got my eye on campfire Moroccan pancakes! Fantastic book.

If you love cooking on wood and middle eastern flavours then this is for you!
I bought this book as a present or my sister (professional cook) and my brother-in-law (keen wood fire cook) when we went on holiday to our house in SW France where we love to cook over wood (and in the old bread oven...yes we are lucky!). This became the bible of deliciousness and we made so much from it. The blackened leeks with green tahini dressing (photo above) were made twice to accompany a huge entrecôte. I cooked the octopus and the roasted aubergine and tahina (see photo above) for friends who came round - they were raving about it! Can't wait to cook my way right through it (and get one for myself!) The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that you have to continually refer to other recipes in the book to complete some of the dishes. The chapter discussing cooking on wood is fantastic. Recipes for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The images by James Murphy are stunning as usual and capture the essence of the book in a realistic way. The recipes aren't meals in 15 minutes but carefully balanced delicious food. A one star review is ridiculous!

Fantatsic Cookbook
This book is brilliant and totally exceeded expectations. I have never had a cookbook that I wanted to cook so much out of. Some of the recipes do take alot of ingredients but the steps are easy to follow and you can create some grat tasting food. Definitely a book to add to the collection and moreso if you like BBQ>
