Works perfectly, easy to install and remove just be gentle with the plastic parts
Fit perfect. I didn't find any need to reach an and disconnect the plug on my 2003 Chevy Silverado extended cab. There was plenty of wire to move the Aspirator to a more convenient location and disconnect the plug. It was still a bit of a pain to disconnect because we are trying to not to break anything. I didn't disassemble anything other that dislocate a couple of the snaps. Only ONE on the front pillar and the cover that holds the seat belt. Just be gentle. The part worked great. I replaced it because it was making noise. I had no idea where the noise was coming from either. LOL I'm wonder if this part also caused my temperature setting to be difficult to ajust. The numbers would go all over the place when I turned the dials. Now they seem to be stable. long winded but hope this helps. I'd buy this again hopefully won't have to.

Heater only working set to 90 - Problem Resolved
If your GMC or Chevy pick up heater only works when set to 90 degrees (not 89) buy this part! Spent a bunch of money at the mechanic trying to fix this problem before I consulted the google and found out about this little part in the headliner that I honestly thought was the onstar microphone. Not hard to install and fixed the problem instantly, removal was easy, the only difficult part was getting the old one disconnected from the cover part, small hands are helpful. So glad to have the heater working again.

Odd item
Old one was chattering --- Ignored till I found this reasonably priced --- temp control now works, no noise -- I have not verified yet but I think the old one was also causing a current drain which seems to have stopped. Watch videos and remove trim and you can replace it in 30min or so. Edit: This was the current drain -- been over a year and have not had to keep the vehicle on charger since this was replaced. I have replaced many other things trying to stop the drain but either this was the drain or it was the last issue.

ACDelco Air Temperature Sensor Aspirator failed after 3 months
I bought this back on Dec 7th, 2018. Installed easily enough and fixed my HVAC issue (at least for 3 months). I could only get 60 degrees or 90 degrees, nothing in between (at 60 degrees on my digital thermostat it will get very cold, from 61-90 it gets very hot). After a lot of researching I found out this could be the problem, so I ordered it. It came a couple days later and I immediately installed it, problem fixed! I now had hot, cold and everything in between....up until yesterday. Now itr is back to it's old tricks again/ So I removed it to clean it but it was spotless so I just blew it off and put it back in, same thing, only hot or cold. I then tapped the headliner where it's located and all of the sudden it started working. I (had the temp set at 75 and it cooled down but not too cold, like it should. But once I changed the temp up or down it went back into very hot. I just emailed the manufacturer because it is still under warranty, I will edit my review later if needed. EDIT: I must have just gotten a bad sensor. The replacement came (warranty) and has worked great ever since. It happens that you get a bad one every now and again, I get it. Been a mechanic/paint & body guy for over 40 years and have seen defective parts quite often, so I don't get too out of shape over it. Thanks for a quick warranty turn around.

Did The Trick!
I recently replaced the battery in my Avalanche and noticed a clattering noise coming from the thing above the drivers seat that looks like a small microphone. It’s actually the aspirator to sample the cabin temperature for the automatic climate control. Anyway, it’s a little difficult to get to this part in and out, but you can do it with enough determination. Once you have it switched out it’s as silent as a church mouse, and ready for another twenty years of service.

Fits 2007/2008 Silverado 1500s
Works well, is an OEM part, and the best part gets rid of that Hum above your head when the old one fails. Bit of a pain to get in, you will need hook tools and small hands unless you pull half your headliner down. Even then you are pulling off most of A pillar and part of B pillar to get to this thing, it's not fun but an hour or so and you are good to go.

Exact fit and got rid of the annoying sound of the old one. If you have a sunroof on the vehicle that you are changing the part in , go in through the sunroof after the trim is removed...only took 5 mins on my 2008 silverado 2500.
