Keto deliciousness!
My little treat. I stick to a strict ketogenic diet due to a severe autoimmune condition. This pretty much means only meat, fish, eggs, a few green veggies, and fats. As a whole, my body feels best and functions best this way. Sometimes you want quick food and having something packaged on hand really helps out. I decided to try these bars out because the ingredients were doable for me and the carb content is lower than a lot of others. I read through the different reviews and noted that a number of people had issues with the texture, taste etc, but decided to see for myself. I am glad I did. I love these little bars and look forward to having one every day! Being on a strict diet and giving up all the 'yummy' foods probably is part of it, but I also really love the taste. The peanut butter chocolate chip are by far my favorite flavor. Smear some butter on one of these and pour a cup of hot tea or coffee for a delightful snack. I understand what it's like to try to find the 'one' by sampling many that are a lot like bricks of sand covered in chocolate. Expensive and frustrating to say the least! If you are looking for a good keto/protein bar, I would definitely give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!

Not what I expected from Perfect KETO
I was really excited about this product as my husband takes a bar every morning for breakfast. We usually buy RxBars, Primal Kitchen and most recently his favorite PureTrim bars (very pricey), so when I saw Perfect Keto was offering a bar I jumped in and bought a box. We love their MCT oil powder, MCT oil, etc. BUT these bars are a disappointment. Firstly, way too cloyingly sweet, with stevia, which lingers on the tongue and fills your whole mouth with sweetener flavor. I know “too sweet” is a relative term because every person may have their idea of sweet, but too both my husband and I, not a fan. The bar itself with the almond butter base had a pretty good texture, maybe a bit chalky, my husband said, but that could be because his was cold at the time of eating it. We are returning the product as we will not be able to eat these with the current sweetness level. Hopefully, in the batches to come from Perfect Keto they will review the recipe and realize that people who are keto, have cut sweet as a whole from their diet, so they don’t crave it, so very little sweetener will go a long way. With natural nut butters I would appreciate salt versus sweet. To end, I bought these bars because I believe in the company, and loved the list of ingredients, collagen, coconut oil, etc. Having been keto/Paleo for over 4 years I thought this may be a nice pack and go, or dessert option, but unfortunately, not for us!

Almost Four Stars
Well, I can’t say I wasn’t warned. I read all the reviews and bought them anyway. I needed some clean keto that could travel well. The ingredients in this bar were as clean as I could find, and a friend uses them for travel, so I ordered them. I first noticed the size of the bars when I took one out of the package. The wrapper is more than an inch and a half longer than the bar inside. Did they think we wouldn’t notice? But since the bar itself is kind of a chalky and disappointing texture, I was actually glad it wasn’t larger. The taste isn’t awful, the ingredients are fairly clean and it will fill the bill when I need protein in the air. I think the price point is too high, but until someone comes up with a healthier, tastier bar for less, I will be buying this one.

Good Keto Product
I am a very busy person, and honestly don't have the time or patience to research and fix keto bombs or treats. Following a meal plan to stay in ketosis when you are always on the run is hard enough, so when I found these last week, I have to say I was honestly excited. When I first opened the bar, my excitement dropped as they aren't anything like what a protein bar looks like, and biting into it was a weird experience. BUT after remembering why I was eating it and not a regular protein bar, my thoughts changed. They are a bit of an acquired taste, but now after eating them for my mid morning snack for 3 days, I actually look forward to the salted caramel taste! So give them a chance, eating Keto has changed my mindset about how a meal plan should look, and after you eat a couple of these, you too will look forward to the taste! I have yet to taste the other flavors and wish that there was a trial pack with one of each flavor without having to buy the 12 pack... (hint, hint Perfect Keto!). I hear others like the lemon poppy seed, so it might be the next one that lands in my cart. Enjoy!

Packaging is almost twice the size of the actual bar
We received a $100 Amazon gift card so I thought I'd splurge on these bars and see if I could find something that I could grab and go. I got the Salted Caramel ones which I'd say aren't bad for a dense bar. I've had much worse with ingredients that weren't has good as the ones on the list. It's a good snack. That being said, I was surprised though that when I got my box of 12 that the packaging is a bit misleading in that the wrappers where almost twice the size of the actual bar inside. Every one of them was this way. That was a bit of a shock considering the cost per bar comes out to about $3.33 each and the wrapper was just over half filled. Maybe my box was a fluke but looking at all the pictures of them being held they appear to be more full than mine were. It could be that buying the correct size wrappers and boxes for these would have been more custom and thus more expensive that the average size bar and box packaging. Pros - Flavor was good Macros are great Grab and Go Cons - Misleading packaging size Relatively expensive for what you get If I have another gift card I'll probably try another flavor and see if I like it but will probably stick to making doing the homemade Keto bars to make that $3.33 stretch a bit further per bar.

Despite good reviews, completely inedible.
I'm not sure why, but these bars were completely inedible for me. I've got probably 40+ different kinds of keto bars, protein bars, and other snacks in this category, and to be honest this is the only one that tastes absolutely abhorrent. The texture is grainy and sandy, and the flavor is VERY artificial. These taste SO bad that I'm honestly worried that my box may have gone rancid. I had my two roommates try them as well, and both immediately spit them out. My box is well within the sell-by date, and the wrappers on all the bars have no sign of heat damage or punctures, so I'm led to believe that perhaps it really is the intended flavor. This is also perplexing because of the thousands of reviews that say these taste great. Also, I am fully aware that this is a "health" food, and having been on another keto diet cycle for a few weeks now, I know that most keto food doesn't taste great. But I'm not comparing these bars to like a Snicker's bar, my stale old Quest bars taste like a slice of heaven compared to these bars. Unfortunately, I won't be buying these again just to make sure I didn't get a bad batch due to their high cost. If they tasted bad, I'd be alright with it...I'd still eat the whole box even if they tasted bad. But these bars are, to me, not even edible.

#1 macro profile and ingredient deck out there for Keto
I've tested my blood sugar after consuming plenty of the "keto" bars on the market today, and this is the only one that doesn't spike it. Pros and Cons below. Pros: -Doesn't spike blood sugar -Fills you up, even if some reviews call it "half a bar" - the macro make up is enough to keep you full -#1 macro profile and ingredient deck out there for bars right now -Taste - It's not like eating a real cookie full of real sugars, but if you're in this lifestyle and doing keto the right way, this will taste amazing Cons: -Can melt while traveling - keep at the bottom of your carry on and they'll do fine -Similar to the melt issue, the chocolate chip one crumbles easily In my opinion, the cons are more than worth it for a super clean, truly keto, on the go snack. I keep them in the fridge and put the Perfect Keto nut butter on them for a desert snack. For all of the negative reviews... Eating clean, esp Keto, is a choice and with any choice, there are tradeoffs. Want a real cookie taste, eat a real cookie. Want to maintain ketosis with an amazing ingredient deck and a bar that's been tested over and over to not spike your sugar levels, then have one of these.

Greasy texture with unwanted side effects
I tried these after I'd been in ketosis around 2 weeks. I had no trouble getting into ketosis, started tracking my macros <10% net carbs on a Monday and was in ketosis by Wednesday afternoon. I was only eating real whole foods. This is the first specialty Keto product I tried and the first MCT oil I tried. I bought them mostly because of the high fiber content and also for an easy snack or meal replacement if I was on the go. Well, I've had 2 now and both times they resulted in awful fatty diarrhea within around 12 hours. Since I stopped eating them, all better again. So it's not the dietary fat from my keto diet causing it (as I worried after reading online) but just this product and most likely the MCT oil in this product. Packaging doesn't say how much MCT oil is in there, but it's the 7th (!) ingredient down the list and mixed with almond butter, tapioca fiber, etc so I figured it would be okay. I can't imaging mixing MCT oil/powder into my coffee...goodness no wonder people on keto have so many issues (google "keto diarrhea"). I chose to order these bars also cause I recognized all the ingredients, but I cannot recommend, just get your fat from whole foods and avocado oil or olive oil. These bars have a very greasy texture (from the MCT oil I'm guessing), but had an okay flavor, similar to any other meal replacement bar in my opinion so not unpleasant to eat...just afterwards...ugh. I'm mostly upset cause they were SO expensive and now I have 10 bars I'm not going to eat. But I suppose lesson learned because I know not to waste my money on other MCT oil products. Ketosis is easy (for me I'm loving it, losing weight, not hungry, not even missing carbs/sugar!), MCT oil is the pits.
