E-Z Business Math (Barron's Easy Way)

I bought this to help with homeschooling my son. I also take him to work once per week in my friends store so he can get some hands on experience applying what he learns. Math/Algebra were my biggest fears when I decided to take on homeschooling, and this book makes it so easy to understand. I love that it has practice problems with the answers in the back of the book. It has made getting his required hours of Math possible for me to do alone!

I received this book very quickly. It's brand new (smaller size was unexpected, but no biggie). What I like about this book -- and can't wait to become quite knowledgeable in -- is its' coverage of real estate, finance -- stocks, bonds, income statements, interest rates -- all things related to how to use or master math in the world of business. Can't wait to complete it. This will serve me well. I've decided to take the route of 'self-learning' as a way to stave off the 'highway robbery of college' these days. If you're looking to warm-up on your math and take what you've learned in math and connect it to the real world in real terms, this book is for you. Try it.

This is a really good book. It is very helpful for a review of practical everyday business math. Alot of problems to work on so you make sure that you understand everything that has been presented.

Purchased this for a brush up on my math skills. The book also includes personal finance, insurance, and business / shopping areas. I think that it is a good book for anyone to brush up on their skills and mathematical knowledge. Who would benefit the most from this is high-school and college age as it is a lot of basics for common life situations. It is written very easily for the most basic so anyone can learn with just some very, very basic math skills.

My daughter used this book for her senior year of high school, and absolutely loved it. It starts out with very elementary math, but you can skip those chapters by taking the tests at the end (if you ace it, skip ahead). All in all, the examples were clear, the work was enjoyable, and I definitely recommend this book!

If you are looking for a book to refresh your maths in your adult life, this book is not for you.

This book is good for anyone who wants or needs to learn basic math. The business part of the book makes it simple and easier to understand.

This is a good book which explains the basics of Business Math in a very straightforward manner. There are exercises that you can work on as well, if you need the extra practice. CAUTION: The book has quite a few mathematical errors found in the answers at the back of the book. So far there seems to be no sign of any correction being made to them, in subsequent editions. I find it strange, that a Barron's book on Math should be so riddled with errors. It is for this reason that I give it 3 stars out of 5.
