These metallic threads feel like plastic, I can't remember if they were supposed to be combined with any other fabric. That being said, they are what I expected in color and shine. You have to be careful when cutting because they do want to curl if you stretch it at all. I doubled the thread in my needle and I'm very happy with the result. I am using this thread to embroider highlights onto fabric designs. I actually think there is more thread on the spools than I expected. These threads are very expensive if bought separately. This was a great price for a lot of variety for embroidery. I will definitely buy again if I run out. Just wanted to add that I've been working with this thread for a few days now and it does a great job for embroidery.
