'Morning Glory', 'Music Book', and 'Futari' included in this CD are some of the best songs. Yamashita has topped the chart of so-called Japanese City Pop music since the 80's and I believe amongst many X-gen people he still remains one of the most popular Japanese artists. He has been known to have been influenced by the Beach Boys and the likes of them, hence I recognise he uses his own unique voice layering arrangement in many of his songs. I have always regarded him as Japanese version of talented Brian Wilson. Aside of producing his albums, he is also a composer/producer/arranger of many of his wife's ( Mariya Takeuchi) albums and songs. ' Morning Glory' included in this CD is worth mentioning - Mariya Takeuchi does her version of 'Morning Glory' in her earlier album ' Miss M' ( 1980). Review: A Sparkle - Definitely one of Tatsu's best albums. Every track on here is a joy, even the short interludes.
