Very good book for beginners lots of information I learned alot good purchase and reference guide for bird owners 5 stars

my wire is a big time quilter and expresses her frustration at her bobbin running out of thread colorfully....I found these on Amazon....when I got them I immediately filled them 6 white, two each red white and blue and she was very pleased when she saw what I had done!!

This book was easy to read and had a nice amount of information. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in this breed. Its better than getting information off the internet where ANYONE can write ANYTHING.

very basic book can get the same information from just a couple of pages on the web. it is not a complete owner's guide

I have 2 parrots and this book helped me to understand how to think like me birds do. How to feed them and teach them words.

This book read like an English paper written by a 6th grader who was given a 5000 word assignment, wrote a 1000 word paper, then added fluff and nonsense to get the count up to 5000 words... In other words it's mostly fluff. I learned next to nothing, the book references a petco fact sheet that took me 3 minutes to read and contained basically the same information content of this entire book. Try something else.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very helpful in my understanding of the commitment that I would be taking on and Rose Sullivan spells out the pros and cons of this wonderful bird. I learnt quite a few interesting facts about the impact of daily living and some of the changes I would have to make. I really recommend this book for those who are thinking of getting a Ringneck Parakeet.

Not a bad summary of the basics but nothing in depth and that can't be found in 5 minutes online.

Nothing really great about the book..Some of the points are repeated 3-4 times..just to fill pages..You can get better information on internet than this book.
