Review: Perfect for Body-Pump style workout - I was looking for a set that allowed me to do "Body Pump" style workouts at home (for myself and my teen daughter) and this set is VERY similar to the sets I used at my gym. The lightweight bar comes in 3 parts (for easier storage/shipping) that screw together with 2 clips to secure plates on each end. This set comes with a total of 4 pairs (8 total) of sand filled plates, with each pair a different weight (2.75lb, 5.5lb, 8.25lb & 11lb) for a total of 55lb. I have been using this set for about a month a it meets my needs perfectly. Of note is when the set arrived, one of the plates was missing. The package came with a number to call if something was missing or broken (rather than return to desertcart). Due to COVID, there was a slight delay in obtaining the missing plate, but after following up with the company, the missing plate arrived and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I do own Olympic weights (the metal ones) and purchased this because they are quieter when I lift while my children are sleeping. I did read some reviews that worried that the plates are sand-filled, but the plastic appears sturdy enough that the set will last for many years of regular/daily use. If you are looking for a weight set and don't lift more than 55lb, this set is for you. Again, this is the perfect "Body-Pump" set for home. Review: Good for the Price - I purchased this set right before the quarantine began, and boy am I glad I did! This is the perfect barbell to add to a small at home gym. It’s obviously not your standard barbell size, but it does the job. It’s very easy to put together and switch out the plates. I use this for back rows, squats, deadlifts, you name it. Although 60 pounds may not be a lot to some, it’s still way better than nothing at all. And since I don’t have a rack, I can at least throw the loaded bar on my back with minimal issue. The bar screws together in 2 places and sometimes comes loose. Just make sure it’s nice and tight a couple times throughout your workout and you’ll be fine! I don’t have any issues in doing this between some sets, but I noticed other reviewers don’t like it, so just a heads up. ## Features - Adjustable barbell weight set includes 2 XS (2.75 LB), 2 S (5.5 LB), 2 M (8.25 LB), and 2 L (11 LB) weights, ideal for home workouts. - Durable 54" threaded steel bar with a powder-coated finish for strength and long-lasting performance in any home gym. - Innovative grip-design plates ensure easy handling, enhancing versatility for exercises like Russian twists and squats. - Eco-friendly weight plates with a recycled core encased in HDPE for safety and protection of home gym flooring. - Quick-release nylon collars streamline weight changes, making this barbell set perfect for seamless workout transitions. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07MFR1VC3 | | Best Sellers Rank | #186,473 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #482 in Exercise & Fitness Dumbbells | | Brand | Freestyle STEP | | Brand Name | Freestyle STEP | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 2,836 Reviews | | Finish Type | Powder Coated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00754806298023 | | Grip Size | 1 inch | | Grip Type | Textured | | Included Components | 2x Collars, 2x Weights of each size (XS, S, M, L), 54 in Bar | | Item Dimensions L x W | 54"L x 1"W | | Item Type Name | Weight set | | Item Weight | 61 pounds | | Manufacturer | The Step | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Model Number | F3066 | | Mounting Hole Diameter | 1 inches | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | F3066 | | Product Dimensions | 54"L x 1"W | | Shaft Diameter | 1 inches | | Shaft Length | 54 inches | | Speaker Cutout Diameter or Length | 1 inches | | UPC | 754806298023 | | Unit Count | 4 Count | | Warranty Description | 90 Day Limited | | Weight Capacity Maximum | 120 pounds | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Freestyle STEP - **Grip Size:** 1 inch - **Grip Type:** Textured - **Item Weight:** 61 Pounds - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Product Dimensions:** 54"L x 1"W - **Shaft Diameter:** 1 Inches - **Shaft Length:** 54 Inches - **Speaker Cutout Diameter or Length:** 1 Inches - **Weight Limit:** 120 Pounds ## Images ![Freestyle STEP Deluxe Dumbbell - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71o23BpbBiL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the maximum weight limit on bar?** A: The manufacturer says on the 'instructions' included with it that you should not load more then 60lbs on the bar (probably including the 5lbs of the bar itself).... It's a 3 piece bar that screws together so there's probably some structural limits because of that design. I wish I had known that prior to purchasing, 60lbs is way to small even for beginner lifters. **Q: Can I add more weight to the bar than the 60 lbs it comes with?** A: The bar is rated at 100 lbs. **Q: How much does the bar weigh?** A: I’m not sure how much it weighs but it’s not that much. I think it’s written somewhere on here. Like, if you’re used to BodyPump it’s about the same weight as that bar but is a little longer. **Q: Is it possible to purchase additional collars?** A: These might work. The weights are accurate as far as the weight they are supposed to be. This is not bad for a first buy but there is better out there. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Step Fitness Deluxe Barbell Weight Set, 60 lbs with Bar, Collars, and Weights - ZENY 43'' Exercise Aerobic Step Platform, Adjustable Fitness Stepper with 4 Stackable Risers, Aerobics Stepper Workout Stepper for Home Gym Cardio Strength & Training --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.it/products/99410826-freestyle-step-deluxe-dumbbell](https://www.desertcart.it/products/99410826-freestyle-step-deluxe-dumbbell) --- *Product available on Desertcart Italy* *Store origin: IT* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
