I ordered another Squishy for use in another room. This new Squishy has a much smaller zipper opening, only 8 1/2 inches, and it was almost impossible to get the cover off with such a small opening. Basically, the pillow is almost 19 inches around, and the opening only makes a 17 inch circle to fit it through. It looks like the zipper was much longer (no metal pieces on the ends as "stops" -- just stitching at the top and bottom to stop the zipper) and someone stitched it too short. Seems a quality nit, but if you can't get the cover off to wash it without tearing the zipper, that is a flaw.Review of previous Squishy Deluxe:I mostly use this pillow for propping up my knee in bed--it is soft and arranges itself to fit the shape of my knee, but doesn't squish down as much as my regular pillows, so stays supportive. I have had this one for about a year and a half, and have washed the cover several times. It washes well, and air dries quickly (I don't recommend putting spandex in the dryer). There are some beads between the inner cover and outer cover when I remove the outer cover to wash it, but it is easy to brush them off. The outer cover has never leaked any beads, unlike a similar pillow of a different brand (which regularly leaked a few beads into my bed whenever I used it, so I felt I had gritty little pebbles in my bed and it was very annoying).I think the quality seems pretty good, and I like that it has a removable cover for washing. Fabric is a bit thin, so much so that you can see all the seam allowances clearly, which is not attractive.I've had several microbead pillows; this one is a little too full. Opening them to remove some of the beads is really really messy, so I'll just use it as is until they eventually compress.Seems to be well constructed. I use it daily for a head rest when reading, & keep it the bed for supplemental support - no leaking & no seams unraveling!!! This bolster pillow is so squishy soft but yet firm enough to give me support on my bad back. I am elderly and I use it on the couch while watching TV and it makes my back feel so much better. It has an outer cover on it so if it gets dirty I can remove the outer cover and wash it. It also helps my neck, relieves stress so I highly recommend this bolster pillow.
