Needed a desk lamp for an L shaped corner office desk so i purchased an Amazon Choice Lepower Metal Desk Lamp that had a lot of sales with good reviews . The lamp was too short, didn't light up the desk adequately, and a standard size light bulb stuck out below the shade and was a bright glare in my eyes. after returning the Lepower lamp i did a lot of searching Amazon for a light that was taller and produced enough light for my corner desk appication. Many T bar style lamps were listed on Amazon however many of them had negative reviews of one shortfall or another. My searching for the best corner light application led me to Youtube searching for videos that reviewed desk lights in general. After several videos i viewed the PHIVE 31.5" SUPER WIDE LED DESK LAMP AND THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE THE LIGHT FOR MY CORNER DESK APPLICATION. A search on Amazon the light was available and the specs listed the light at 31.5 inches wide, 31.5 inches high from the top of the desk, 20 watts of power, 4 light modes, and 5 brightness levels. I purchased the Phive light as well as the 4 yr Amazon extended warranty and the light arrived yesterday. First out of the box impressions were it was easy to assemble requiring only one screw to hold the light bar on top of the vertical support and base. The clamp is metal and the C inside dimension of the clamp has three bolting positions for desk top thickness and is adjustable for desks tops up to 3" thick. Optimum clamp assembly is to bolt the c clamp together at the narrowest position that fits the desk top. I initially positioned the light close to the right side of my 21" wide by 16" tall monitor with the thought i would power it up in this position and then move it around to the best location. I did not have to move or reposition it at all! The light easily was adequate for a monitor much larger than mine and covers a big enough area i do not even need the overhead room light on. Without measuring i would estimate the light covers 4 to 5 feet across the corner monitor position of my desk. The position the light is placed in the picture has 25" of clearance from the desk to the bottom edge of the lightbar,the left end of the light bar is just passed the center of the monitor and pretty much is centered on my keyboard. The solid lower portion of the lamp base measures 16 1/2 inches from the desk top and the moveable portion of the stem can be adjusted to infinite configurations. Where i have it positioned is bent foreward starting at the mid portion of the flexible mast to a position approx 10 inches from the back edge of the desk. This puts the light in front of the monitor screen and a great position for lighting the keyboard as well as writing notes on the right side of my desk. The touch controls are very nice and whatever settings you prefer your lighting to be in color and intensity there is a memory feature that turns the light on to those settings. The on /off touch pad is illuminated when the light is off for easy reference and none of the touch pads are illuminated when the light is on. I currently have the light on mid settings both on color and intensity. Only one thing that would improve on this light. The light bottom and upper mast as well as the light bar are a non glare matte finish and the plastic c clamp base cover is a high gloss plastic. Would have been better as a matte finish like the rest of the light. THIS LIGHT IS HIGH ENOUGH AND PRODUCES ENOUGH LIGHT FOR MY CORNER L SHAPED OFFICE. THERE WERE MANY CHEAPER SIMILAR STYLE LIGHTS AVAILABLE ON AMAZON BUT READ THE REVIEWS AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK. THIS IS A GREAT LIGHT AT A FAIR PRICE..........................over TWO years later and i couldn't be more happy with this light!

I had been thinking about buying this lamp for a long time without taking action on it because I was concerned about the max. width of the clamp and being not sure it would fit on my desk's edge, which is 2.5 inches wide. I received it today and it took me 15 minutes to set up. It would have taken me 10, but an extra 5 were spent panicking when I attempted to mount the clamp, as it was delivered, onto my desk and realized that it wouldn't fit. I quickly figured out that the manual does not explicitly show you that you can use the larger allen wrench that comes in the package to unscrew and lower the bottom part of the clamp component. This increases the max. width of the table/desk edge that you can fit into it (about 2.5 inches, which is all I needed in my situation). I ordered the white/silver version and the design looks very sleek, like it cost a lot more than it actually did. The lighting "colors" and dimming options are perfectly fine for my purposes (using on a desk with two 24"+ monitors and a 13" laptop. I'm not drawing or drafting or doing any type of manual work, just using my computers and occasionally jotting notes on paper. Light doesn't strain my eyes and it lights my desktop uniformly with a very wide coverage area (I'd guess a good 4 feet). It is sturdy and feels substantial; definitely does not feel like it is made out of inferior materials and certainly doesn't look it. For the price, I am very happy with this high quality lamp.

In Jan 2020, I was looking for a lighting solution to use with my computer in the evening that didn’t disturb others. I purchased the Phive LED Desk Lamp and used screws to mount it to the wall as my table had a solid back and sides. I enjoyed the variety of color temperatures, brightness levels, and on/off button that’s easy to find in the dark, but not blinding. I like the touch controls. The neck is adjustable up and down (not side to side). The light output is high quality and makes reading easy. Upright, the lamp is quite sturdy. This is a great Task Light. Five years later, I’ve moved and haven’t set up the lamp. My new office keeps the overhead lights off so it’s very dark. I’m happy to be able to use this investment piece again and it’s been a life-saver. My workstation is now well-lit, papers are easy to read, my mood and Circadian rhythm thank me.

I hesitated for quite some time before pulling the trigger on this desk lamp. It turns out, that was time lost! My computer desk in my home office is a bit small. My 27” 5K Retina iMac takes up a lot of the width of the desk, leaving few options for illuminating the surface of the desk. Add to this that I have a second, 24” display mounted on the wall to the right of the iMac and the only other light source, besides windows is a small table lamp at the other end of the room. One of my concerns with this lamp was the flexibility of the support arm. It really needed to be “Mama Bear just right”. The base would be clamped to the desk on either side of the iMac stand, the arm would have to have enough flexibility to allow the lamp head to be adjusted for even coverage of the desk surface. Happily the adjustability is just fine. If I were OCD about it, I might say it is just ever so slightly stiff. But that’s much better than being even slightly loose. The illumination options - brightness and colour temperature, are nearly perfect, too. Frankly I’ll only be using a neutral temperature since one of my major uses of the computer is photo editing. But having options is good, especially for others whose purposes might be more diverse. The only thing I would change is to add even one more lower brightness level. It’s not that lowest level is too bright, I just think a lower level would be great for a night light. Am I weird? So, overall, I can highly recommend this lamp and so far I have confidence in Phive. The overall construction is solid, the design is great both aesthetically and for useability.

I really like the look/design of the lamp. It clamps to the back of my desk, arcs perfectly over my Dell 34" curved monitor, and matches the color/style of my monitor well, too...almost like it was designed for it. I work on electronics projects, and this lets me see small fonts on circuit boards easily. I also love that I can use a bright/blue light when doing that work, but switch to a dim/warm light when working late at night. An unexpected side benefit is that it reflects enough glow on my face to avoid looking like I'm in the witness protection program on Zoom calls for work. The ONLY gripe I have is that it bounces VERY easily. I have a motorized/standing desk. While it is one of the better ones (Uplift) it is still not perfect. If I bump my desk, my monitor will shake a little. But this light will wiggle just by typing on my keyboard. Sometimes even when someone walks down the hall outside my room! I've taken to propping it on the top edge of my monitor...which works fine except I already use that space for my USB camera. So I'm still trying to figure out what to do about that. I like the rest of it enough that I'm eager to figure out a solution that works for me. But if you expect this thing to hang over your desk without wiggling...forget about it.

This is a great lamp. It illuminates a large work surface very brightly. Or, if you prefer, dimly. Or three options in between. It provides a nice bright cool sunlight-white that is great for detail work. Or, if you prefer, a gentle warm yellow for late-night use. Or two options in between. Size-wise it is hard to miss. The light bar is 31" wide and it stands on top of a 32" neck, the upper half of which is more flexible than I expected. It tilts front to back, side to side, even twists with no complaints. And it stays right where you put it. Bent properly forward, it lights up your work area like midday in direct sunlight, but it's directed enough that it can keep the rest of the room practically dark if you wish. They brag that it can reach right over the top of a 27" monitor to illuminate your desk, and that is absolutely true. The touch controls are convenient and easy to operate, and the power on/off control has a tiny light that makes it easy to find in the dark. Have only had this for a few days, but (as I'm sure is obvious) I'm extremely pleased. It's pretty much the ideal desk/workbench lamp and I'm already trying to justify the purchase of a second one to myself.

This lamp exceeds my expectations. It is exremely bright: important to me, as the best lighting I ever had was a pair of old style studio lamps in aluminum reflectors. An added benefit was the extraordinary design and workmanship. The clamp worried me, because my tables are up against the wall, and the tables---two idea tables---are slightly thick. The clamp assembly can be disassembled, to fit table thicknesses of at least two inches, and even very thin ones. I was able to remove the shelf with the clamp screw, slide the back plate down and between the wall and the back of the table, re-attach the shelf with two wall made allen screws (threaded into the back plate of the clamp with robust threads) and clamp it down. I cannot photograph this as the assembly is attached by now, and the area is a real mess. The brightness of the lamp, and accessible controls are highlights. This lamp solved a major problem for me. I gave 4 on Versatility. This is probably unfair, but the buyer should be aware that the amazing gooseneck moves through a limited range in the sideways direction, so it is difficult to rotate the head through much of any direction around a vertical axis. This interesting gooseneck design is actually an advantage, as far as stability. It works for me, and it works exceedingly well.

I specifically bought this for my home desk to use for more light. I had a regular desk lamp which was not cutting the job. This exceeded my expectations. It has four different light modes and each light mode has a different level of brightness. It is 4 levels exact from minimal to maximum brightness. All light modes have this so you can change to whichever you like without sacrifice. I was really impressed with the gooseneck. It was perfect for letting me bend the light into the position I needed it to be. Currently I have it arched over my computer monitor which is in the center of my desk and the light is clamped on from behind the desk. It is not only one part of the neck either. They give you a generous length of gooseneck to bend it in anyway needed. You can even flip the light part side ways like shown in the video. No problem. It is also very sturdy. Do not need to worry about it being wobbly. Overall this was the best decision I made for a light because it is very bright but can lighted dimly, it has great flexibility on positioning the light where you need it to be, and because it is LED, I will have this for a very long time. This is worth the money!

Mooie lamp, iets kleiner (hoogte en breedte) dan verwacht, MAAR......... een Amerikaanse stekker, jammer! Waarom niet even een mooie verloopstekker erbij of nog beter een Europese adapter.

Compré esta lámpara para mi recién creado “estudio” para hacer home office. Queda de maravilla y me encanta que la luz puede ser regulada y también la temperatura de la luz. También el cuello de la lámpara puede ser ajustado prácticamente en cualquier dirección. Lo único que no superó mis expectativas fue que esperaba que por el precio los materiales tuvieran un acabado más premium.

Das Produkt kam korrekt verpakt und funktioniert einwandfrei und ist unkompliziert bei der Montage. Die Lichtqualität ist sehr gut, die verschiedene Einstellungen ebenso. Intuitiv einzubauen und zu bedienen. Dafür hätte ich sogar vier Sterne gegeben, wobei für den Preis, bin ich mi sicher, hätte ich zwei gute Lampen bekommen, die dasselbe könnten, wenn ich länger gesucht hätte. Es hat wie angekündigt, fast 3 Wochen gedauert... Na ja... es kommt nicht mehr aus der EU, aber immerhin aus England sofern ich es durchschaut habe, und nicht aus Honolulu oder Burundi. Dafür schon ein Stern weniger. Und den nächsten Stern weniger: Ist allen klar, das Engländer andere Maßen, andere Gewohnheiten und auch andere Steckdosen verwenden. Aber wenn man ein Produkt für die EU verkauft, wäre zumindest fair, wenn man ankündigt, dass man einen Adapter für die Steckdose braucht. Das ging weder aus der Beschreibung, noch aus den Abbildungen hervor. das fand ich sehr ärgerlich, denn auch ein Jaguar kann mit dem Lenkrad (aus unserer Sicht) auf die richtige Seite eingebaut werden ;-) Ich habe den Adapter meines Rasierers abgesägt- denn sonst ginge diese blöde Steckdose trotzdem nicht hinein, da sie viereckig und nicht rundgeformt ist. Jetzt läuft es. Fazit, Ja, ich empfehle die Lampe, aber kaufe dir gleich einen Adapter dazu, wenn du Euro Steckdosen hast unbedingt eine Phive haben willst... Und nimm dir Zeit... Viel Zeit!
