Question 1

does it penetrate obstacles like wood and plastic? I mean, does it sanitize behind the tables, big cups and kitchenware?

Accepted Answer

No, the UVC light only can sanitizer the objects which exposed to its light. it can't penetrate the obstacles

Question 2

can i use this in a mechanic's trouble light fixture to sanitize objects by hand?

Accepted Answer

If your trouble light has an E26 or E27 (common in the US) base (socket) it will fit. It will protrude 7 and 1/2 inches so if your trouble light has a cowling make sure you have enough space to insert and tighten the bulb (8 or 8 1/2"? ) If you plan to sanitize by hand, protect your ski and eyes. The light may not seem very bright but that's because we don't see in that spectrum.

Question 3

Any proof this item actually works/is effective?

Accepted Answer

UVC and OZONE are some of the best ways to sterilize "things".

Both of these lamp options (Ozone and Ozone free) both produce Ozone.
They are made in China. You get what you pay for.

If you want a 100% surefire way these will work, you must go the T8/T12 tube lamp route.
They will work in your common fluorescent fixtures, but they will burn out in short order as they somewhat NEED a more specific ballast which is more costly than a regular ballast that would come in a regular fluorescent fixture.

Question 4

It is advertised as uv-c, but the bulb states only uv which is it?

Accepted Answer

UV bulb is a general term for ultraviolet light bulbs, UV bulbs can be divided into many types depending on the wavelength, UVC: 100--280nm, UVB: 290--320nm, UVA: 320--400nm, the wavelength of this bulb is 254nm, so it is UV-C bulb, UV-C bulb can use to kill bacterial virus dust mites.
