This is an outstanding cage. If you are new to birds, let me tell you why. It's square so the bird can stretch its wings in all directions without restriction. Most cages are wider than they are deep so the bird can only stretch its wings in one direction but not with this. The shape makes it roomier. The stand is very nice and allows you to store things below. The cage is very sturdy, was super easy to put together. Even comes with it's own tool to tighten the screws. I love love the food dishes, have their own swinging doors, so you can access them from the side rather than reaching in. However, in my case, the dishes are ginormous and too deep for my cockatiel. She eats only a few tablespoons of food at a time. The dishes are very deep. However, for larger birds, they would be excellent. Stainless steel is safer than plastic so was a plus. Most cages come with toxic cheap plastic ones. In every way, this cage is outstanding in price, quality, size, and build. My girl flew around in it, jumping about from perch to perch. I don't ever use the standard dowel perch, as they cause feet problems, but replace them with branch perches. Most birds don't stay in their cage 24/7 but when you have to keep them in, there is room. It is a good size for 1 large bird or 2 cockatiels could manage though I err on the side of big is better for 2 birds. Like me, if your bird doesn't live in a cage 24/7 and is out most of the day this is perfect. Thank you to the makers of this cage!!

This is a perfect bird cage. I use it for my ring neck doves. Last year I had purchased one, and loved it so much I had to get another. It is well constructed, and a good size for a medium/small species. I love that it comes with perches and a good bowl. The latches on the doors are sturdy and easy to use. The over all appearance is pretty and simple. Super easy to clean, and since I bought the first cage over a year ago, I have had nothing break, so I'd have to say these are quite durable cages. Price is great, at a pet store something of this style would be twice as much in price. I am very please, and so are my doves. Perfect little home for them!

The size is perfect, gives plenty of space for toys and perches, and feels very sturdy. My bird looks comfortable and happy in it.

Like other reviewers have said a small bird like a canary or finch could easily escape between the bars. Parakeets might even be iffy....depending how adventurous and curious they are. Not hard to put together...took me an hour by myself. The dishes are HUGE and so are the perches...this cage is actually for a cockatiel, small parrot, conures, lovebirds and larger budgies. And I got it for a parakeet, by the way, which I have not purchased yet as I wanted to have the cage all set up for his arrival. But I am a little nervous and will have to purchase smaller food and water dishes. Keeping my fingers crossed. It is a nice cage,large and the price was good...way cheaper here than the PET (;) stores.

An awesome cage for the money! Well engineered. It was VERY easy to assemble. Looks great in my living room. I am SO happy that I purchased it. It's going to be a great home for my new pet birds.

Doors are big but budgies haven't tried to escape, they make an astronomical mess but I mean nothing you can't sweep up the inside is easy to clean, it's big and very pretty to look at the material is also sturdy

Worse Yaheetech cage I have.ever built. And I have built a LOT! (Check my orders over the years. Even furniture). I had to zip tie the top to the cage.

Pros: The cage is very inexpensive for the size and the quality! I have paid much more for cages that aren’t half the quality of this cage. The bars are thick, and once put together it is very stable and steady. It also comes with a stand. It is easy to assemble, you can do most of the assembly with only one person however it’s easier if you have two people for the roof. The roof can be a little bit complicated to get into position and clip in. The cage could be taken apart and stored if you were using it for a temporary cage like I am. it’s very roomy and big enough for two or more cockatiels, lovebirds and small conures, or one large conure, Quaker, caique etc. it is even big enough as a temporary cage for an African gray or smaller Amazon. which is what I bought it for. The top opens up with a perch, allowing the bird to have a place to sit outside of the cage. It has two feeder doors and included dishes, which are stainless steel rather than plastic. You can put just the tray in without the rack, in case you have a disabled bird that is a fall risk. Because of this it would be easy to line that tray with something soft, and leave the rack out in case your bird falls. Cons: Not for budgies, because this cage clips together there are some gaps that may be dangerous to small birds like budgies. The dishes are far too big for the size of the cage. They should’ve included smaller bowls, more suitable to the birds that would be in the cage. I have a cockatoo who has balls that size! There is no need for that size a dish to be in this cage. Thankfully I have other dishes that will fit in the racks which are smaller.The locks are easy to open on the door and feeder doors, be aware of that if you have an escape artist! Be sure to clip these doors if you use it as an outside cage to prevent escape. I would like to see a handle on the rack, to make it easier to pull it out and to know which side is which. Took me a while to figure out which way it went in! Same with the tray. All in all it has its pros and it’s cons, but it is a nice cage for a very good price. You absolutely cannot go wrong with it!

*update: I've ordered a second one. It's on its way now and I'm very excited about setting it up. I love this cage so do my birds. How easy it was to put together. How they use tension to come together with great hardware provided. Make sure you use tools to tighten the screws or your wheels will wobble right off in motion. Whoops! The shelf underneath is nice and sits solid. The top opening is lovely. The large perches and the ease of sliding the tray out. However CAUTION BUDGIE OWNERS: possible escape risks you will need to clip top and bottom of front door to not allow escape. As one of mine slipped out the front. Seems my budgies are happy in this house and don't feel the need to escape now. So I don't even clip it anymore. If you do not have the top roof clasped locked my budgie had his head popped out the top. Lol. With the clip engaged it seems fine. If this cage has two clips placed at top and bottom of the front door it would make it a more secure unit for the smaller of the parrots. Other than that it is a fairly sturdy and lovely design. The legs are solid and beautifully shaped and it's what I loved about the cage is how pretty the design is in my home. A lovely unit to have and reasonable cost. Compared to other cages. A worthwhile purchase and one of my Amazon top five favourite purchases. I did slide a remnant material under the cage clipped upwards around the bottom like a skirt to catch throw off. if you don't you will have bird seed everywhere as it rolls right out the cage sides. So there is a couple tweaks that could help with the function not perfect but so close. Oh yeah the size of the food cups are huge for a budgie so water is like a bath tub and they jump into the food and throw it about cause they can literally roll and bathe in the food cup lol. So just things to know I underestimated the size in the ad. This would be a great enclosure for birds to room in. I'm happy enough to have ordered two and look forward to the symmetry it will provide to the look of my space as well as how happy my birds are with all the room they have now to play and have many toys.

This is a great cage, very spacious and well designed. Our cockatiel loves it and has plenty of room.

This cage is great in more than one way. There are cages that are larger, but cost a lot more. This cage is priced well. There are cages that are cheaper, but they don't come with a stand. This one does. This cage is really easy to clean as it has no plastic base. The size fits in a bathtub, fully assembled. In summary, this is a well-priced cage with a stand that is easy to clean. * The one negative is the door. If birds are motivated enough, they could put their head through and then get their head stuck. However, this is a very easy fix. You can use plastic clothespins to secure the door to the bars better, which we did on one of ours, or you can tie the door closed with leather straps, which we did on our other one, as we own two of these cages.

Love that the top opens, and the large front door. Lots of space to add toys and other perches. Don't really use the small side doors, but could be convenient if that's your thing. The bowls that come with this were way too deep for a small bird, so ordered a different set to use instead.
