Wagner plate caster has a polyurethane on aluminum wheel, a flat base with holes for bolting or welding to an object, and a swivel design to allow movement with a 360-degree change in direction. A total-lock brake simultaneously prevents rolling and restricts swivel movement when the foot-operated lever is depressed. The plate caster's wheel consists of a polyurethane tread molded and mechanically locked to an aluminum core. The wheel rolls with ease, resists abrasion and impact, provides quiet operation, and protects floors. The tread is non-marking and has a hardness of 50 to 60 Shore D. This wheel is suitable for bearing medium to heavy loads on carpeted and hard-surfaced floors. The wheel has a recommended operating temperature range of -20 to 180 degrees F. The roller bearing provides high load capacity and greater durability than ball bearings.Plate casters are wheeled mechanisms used to support and maneuver objects such as carts, racks, and dollies. I finally broke down and called the manufacturer and they offered to send me the right wheels if I would send them back the incorrect one's I received from Amazon (3 orders and 3 calls to Amazon). Needless to say, the manufacturer (E. R. Wagner) sent me the correct wheels and I spent an additional $15 dollars shipping them the wrong wheels I received from Amazon 3 times.But, if you can get the correct metal core wheels...these things are built like a tank! I have four of them on a Jobbox and I think I could put a car on top if I really felt the need. Generally not that big of a problem, do an exchange. But they are close enough in size and the same size mounting brackets that I didn't notice until I installed them, painted, and turned the table over on the wheels.
