Review: Must Have in Your Keto Tool Kit! - So, I have become an avid Keto way of lifer (I don't call it a diet) and I do IF as well (Intermittent Fasting); most of all? I am a huge believer in Dr. Eric Berg who (IMO) is the most knowledgeable about Keto/IF and doing it the healthy way (yes you can slam back some burgers from McDonalds but there are healthier ways to consume high (good) fats). He recommends 4700 mg of Potassium A DAY (and don't go saying you eat bananas because they only contain 300-400 mg depending on the banana size AND? They have too many carbs sugars). 1 cup of raw spinach leaves contain 167 milligrams of potassium, while 1 cup of cooked spinach contains 840 milligrams of potassium ( I never knew cooked made a difference but cooking releases minerals). Anyway, I was about to buy the Doctor's electrolytes but I saw this one at a better price and with the same amount of potassium (1,000 mg!). That's A LOT considering most (if not all) potassium supplements are only 99 mg per pill! Okay so those are the basic facts but how does it taste? I had it today in my water and at first I honestly was like "Hmm....kinda sweet and a hint of bubblegum....not sure I'm going to take to this..." then, as I did my weights at the gym, I started to like it more and more to the point that I wish I had another water bottle to add a scoop to it. This is not to say YOU will like it; this is to say this is why I do reviews - not everyone is going to have the same taste (whether in food or clothes etc.). So? If you don't like stevia (this is the sweetener in it) and don't like a rather fruity flavor then don't get this. I personally really like the taste, the price and the fact that it has no artificial sweeteners in it and the company really seems to care about what the customers think - read the reviews, the company offers to do a refund if people don't like the taste or say something like "Well Doctor so and so's tastes so much better..." Um? Maybe the other doctor's does taste better to SOME people - I can't say, I haven't tried, when I get more money I may try it but for now? I'm grateful for this product because before it? When I was at the gym - doing my IF (Intermittent Fasting), I would get dizzy and now? I don't. Also? Let me address the possibility that this will make you go number 2 unexpectedly. I specifically take 1000 mg of Magnesium Oxide at night to encourage bowel movements; that's pretty high I know but I need it to help me go. I take Magnesium Glycinate during the day to keep me relaxed/calm (for me this doesn't make me go to the bathroom); this product has 120 mg of Magnesium Citrate - that's NOT likely to make you have the runs and? Don't you think the company tested this before putting it on the market? As in why would they market something that's supposed to help you receive electrolytes/hydrate you that would make you eliminate it out so fast? Makes no sense. So why are there some reviewers saying they had terrible diarrhea? I'd say it's more likely that their system is off and instead of bashing the product - why not take half a scoop instead of the whole? So? That's it. I really like this product; the only potential negatives I can see for you (since you're not me :-)) is that you may find it too sweet and it may act too much as a diuretic (you know what I mean....). But for me? This product gets 5 stars! I am so happy to have it help me do my morning workout routine even better!
Review: 4,700mg...Got Potassium? - Its double the giggles, and double the grins, and double the trouble if you're blessed with twins... Thats what I first thought when I came across this Keto K1000 Electrolyte Powder. On first glance it appeared to be an identical twin to the Dr Berg Electrolyte Powder I had been using for a few years, but it now appears that these twins are fraternal. Keto K1000 has 50 servings (5 more then Dr Berg) and is $3 less in cost at the time of this review. It also had free shipping for me with my existing desertcart Prime membership which is for some reason no longer offered by Dr Berg, so I thought to give it a try. I find these two to be the best potassium supplements of all that I have tried. To make a faulty analogy, it might be akin to the effect if you drove up in a limited production day glo red Maserati that made every other car look like a clunker. The recommended daily intake of potassium is 4,700mg and most of us seem to struggle to get even half that amount. In fact, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis testing indicates that at least 80% are deficient in Potassium at the cellular level (including me) so I was really happy to find a product with 1,000mg of Potassium in a single scoop serving which compliments my intake of Coconut Water, Plantation Organic Blackstrap Molasses and of course all the food sources to get my levels up. Blood levels remain in a tight range so it always said "Potassium OK" when in fact that was not the case. I also like that it contains some trace minerals as much of these are depleted from the soil for many reasons and typically also some show low on my hair tissue mineral analysis. I mix one scoop with around 12-16oz of water and the taste is good (to me) for having no sugar and only stevia as the sweetener, its a bit different taste than the Dr Berg. Obviously the point is to be healthy and get up our potassium levels and far more important then if it tastes like a unhealthy sugar lemonade to me. I also found that the body has no specialized zinc storage system (unlike, e.g., iron or calcium), therefore daily zinc needs are heavily dependent on satisfactory daily zinc intake and at least short term states of zinc deficiency could be quite likely. Without adequate zinc, we lack the ability to retain potassium. No matter how much potassium taken in, it is not being retained. This is why my potassium why low. Magnesium is also needed for potassium and this too is usually low, so its good that there is magnesium in this. Zinc is more easily absorbed from meat and animal proteins. Vegetables are not ideal sources because they contain phytate, a compound in plants that prevents zinc from being absorbed optimally and some of my lady friends really struggle because of this. In healthy individuals, the kidneys respond to excess sodium by flushing it out in the urine. Unfortunately, this also removes potassium. So if potassium levels are low, the body tries to hang onto the potassium, which means also hanging onto the sodium and is one reason (along with low magnesium) that can cause high blood pressure. The good news is that this product has helped me get my levels back up on the last test and that has put my blood pressure back in the optimal range. I'll continue using this...but Dr Berg if your reading, we can still be friends.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is k1000 the same electrolyte powder as dr berg's? the nutrition labels is exactly for both products. same use of concentrace ac.**
A: The ingredients of these 2 ingredients are NOT the same. If you look at Dr. Berg's product it actually has more total of 306g with 45 servings and this product (competitor copycat) is less total product and only 300g but with more servings (50). Interesting. Now compare the FLAVORING - Dr. Berg's has a natural flavoring versus the competitor product being flavoring. The only way they could be getting more servings by using less product is by using a synthetic flavoring because synthetic flavoring uses a lot LESS space than natural flavoring. With synthetic flavoring, you can use one-tenth of the ingredient because its more concentrated. That means it uses 10x less volume. The competitor product also has a smaller scooper to justify the 50 servings giving the illusion of more. So the question is do you want more of a less quality product?

The other difference is the rice fiber. The problem with rice fiber is not the carbohydrates, its (1) phytic acid. This acid blocks the absorption of minerals, especially zinc and (2) more importantly rice bran contains arsenic. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18939599 I would also bet that their rice bran is coming from China – which is where most of the world's rice products come from, not in the US.

**Q: Does this have any calories? Will it break a fast?**
A: Keto K1000 is zero calorie and will not break a fast. Thanks for your question!

**Q: where is this manufactured?**
A: Keto K1000 is manufactured in the US in an NSF certified facility.

**Q: Do you love it? Or is it malodorous?**
A: Love it. Smells like Gatorade.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keto K1000 Raspberry Lemon is Like Keto Crack
*by A***R on September 16, 2022*

Amazon has been pestering me to review this product. I've been on keto for four years and maintaining proper balances of potassium, magnesium, and sodium has been a challenge. Potassium is the most problematic supplement because the FDA limits OTC product quantity to 99mg, and I need about 4,000 mg per day. Without the supplement, I get terrible leg cramps that jerk me awake in the middle of the night. The most cost-effective solution I've found is packing my own capsules from bulk potassium citrate, but that has nothing to do with Keto K1000 Electrolyte powder. The fact is, in spite of the economy of the home-made capsules, I just like the Keto K1000 Raspberry Lemon. It's refreshing and the taste is awesome. The problem is the price. It's way over-priced at $30+ per container which only lasts about ten days. Yes, that's about $90 per month! I've tried other products, many of which are now discontinued leaving Keto K1000 with something of a monopoly on the market. It angers me and pi$$e$ me off every ten days when I have to place an order, but like a crack addict geeking for another bump, I order more. Keto K1000 Raspberry Lemon is the best tasting potassium supplement for serious keto dieters that I've found. I just wish I didn't feel like I was getting raped every time I place an order. About now, I'm betting Amazon regrets pestering me for this review.
