We've got it in a metal shade which adds to the scatter. There is no visible warm-up, i.e. the light comes straight up to temperature. It's a nice thing to look at too (when it's off), with its clear glass globe and filament strands giving a modern yet retro look.This bulb replaced a fancy and expensive Plumen CFL bulb which had failed. The difference between LED and CFL is huge (possibly due to different Wattage equivalents) and I'll be replacing the other CFL with LEDs like this (size permitting) as they start to fail. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star product & delivery *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 March 2018* Excellent product, love the vintage look and warm glow, timely delivery as well.
