I'm using this power supply with my Uniden SDS200 digital scanner. ($700 dollars) Was a bit worried about fan noise was going to destroy the receiver's reception. But actually I was pleasantly surprised how the scanner's reception was actually enhanced. I noticed lower background noise and cleaner signal reception as a bonus. The power supply runs very quiet with any noise barely detectable to the ear. After several hours the unit is only slightly warm on top. Looks like smooth sailing ahead. Just an added note: I'm using the DC power cord (black and red wires) as my power input to my scanner instead of using the AC wall input. Seems the scanner likes the DC power cord better. Bob.

I purchased this power supply to test 12 volt auto parts when needed. When not testing this power supply is constantly being used for my hobbies. I run CB'S and a Ham radio for fun. I built a stereo box with a bluetooth car radio for the garage and this device is perfect to power it. I am very happy with the quality of the build. The weight of this item alone speaks volume about its quality. I will be buying another so I don't have to share this one between devices.

Great product I Love it

Works as well as more expensive techy brands. And it's not a knock off of something else.

This was a replacement for another supply I use to power my Lipo battery charger for my RC airplanes. Seems to works fine, the only issue I see is there is no fan for cooling. The heatsink for the power transistors is on the back of the chassis, and it gets really hot, very fast. I added an external 12v cooling fan. After about an hour of use it will over heat and shut down even with the added external fan. Pretty sure I am only running at 50% capacity. I have another supply that is pretty much twice this size and its only rated at 10amps. I think this unit is over rated by their specs, as it over heats and faults out for me sorta quick when loaded hard.

This is a big boy. it looks like the normal small power supply in the picture but trust it is double the size triple the weight. i was very happy that it is heavier duty.

Read the One Star Reviews. That is the truth about this product. I have a $60 paper weight after 1 use. The pyramid I had from 20 yes ago was built like a tank. And after taking this one apart to try to solve the problem...I NOTICED ONE HUGE PROBLEM!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COOLING FAN!! AND THE FUSE IS IN LINE WITH THE NEGATIVE INSTEAD OF POSSATIVE MAKING IT USELESS FOR PROTECTION. It is my understanding that the Pyle brand bought Pyramid at some point. That would explain its terrible quality build in my opinion.

Works as advertised

I use the power Supply to power my Amateur radio equipment, after a busy weekend on the air I did not notice any RF noise from the power supply. I never did tax the unit at it's maximum rating as My Radio only draws 6W at 12V DC while transmitting but I did charge my 2M radio from the lighter plug at the same time as operating HF. So far so good
