Unless he gets overly rambunctious with it, the table and chairs should last for years...I gave it 4 stars only because the instructions aren't clear and the bolts are not well marked. Grandpa accidentally used the longer leg bolts to attach the table top, and of course, they went right through the table top and ruined it! BUT I must say, customer service was great! He called immediately and told them what he had done, and we had a new table top in about two days.
