Overseeing the production is a cellar master with an astounding 35 years’ experience at the Maison. I bought this brand and the VS version and fell in love after the first glass! It's nectar and has the boldness of Cognac Brandy, but also possesses a slight sweetness and rustic charm. On balance .. I still like both, as I like beef and lamb but will now order more Armagnac than Cognac Armagnac is older .. [around 700 years old] and distilled once retaining that 14th century rural - homemade mouth feel.
