Good quality seed
I always have a spring of nyger seed in the garden as we often get visits by goldfinches. I know the Peckish brand and so I knew the quality would be good. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and my goldfinches love it. At any one time I sometimes see over a dozen in the garden - babies as well as adults, and they seem to spend almost the whole day on the spring. Maybe they are fattening up before flying south for the winter, but this Peckish seed is going down a treat and I have to keep filling the spring up every few days. Brilliant!

Decent.
These are good quality seeds - split a few open when I first opened the packet and they seem pretty fresh. I suspect there are better value options available out there, I opted for quality over quantity in this case but only because I wasn't 100% sure the birds would like it. A week on and the feeder is still 2/3 full of seeds 😕 so it seems that the sunflower hearts are favoured by the finches in this case.

Purchased to attract small birds
Maybe it’s wrong time of year for the small birds I hoped to attract as not much interest at the moment

Birds Looove Them, Took Them a Short Time to Try Though
Wow! I was buying a boatload of birdseed one day and spotted, for the millionth time, Nyger seeds. Hmm...maybe...was mumbling to myself when another customer where I was said, “you’ve got nearly as much food for the birds as me”. She noticed I was deciding do I try Nyger seeds or not? She said grab a small bag and see, mine can’t go without them” Hung the feeder, tester amount of the Nyger seeds expecting something to happen...nope. I changed the seeds, put another bit of seeds in, nope. My feeder is clear so I can see if they’ve eaten any and working in the garden one day, I heard a ruckus at the feeders that hang from my arbor which is my busiest of 4 feeding areas. It was a couple of blue tits fighting at the Nyger feeder and to my surprise, the feeder was EMPTY, not one seed left. I had only just put seeds in it the day before and it’s empty? I filled the feeder then and there and talk about a food party. Now Nyger seeds are on the standard bird shopping list. Amazon actually is a bit cheaper than my local garden shops so I’m grateful for that given it seems the birds eat more than we do, and we live in very small, very nature rich community on a private estate where I’m actually the only person feeding the wild birds that visit our gardens. My birds love Peckish. That sounds silly I know but if I can’t get the Peckish products they often ignore the food until desperation sets in. I’ve since learned from a woman who was talking about my garden that birds are just often shy of new things so I definitely recommend this product, if they don’t flock to it quickly give them time. Also sprinkle a bit on the ground as I’ve found my ground feeding birds like these lots as well. I can’t believe I almost gave up on these. Little guys just needed time to be sure of these strange looking seeds.

Good value
Good value for money but the birds in my gardens didn't seem to fancy it

Welcome visitors
This seed worked like magic! After only seeing Sparows and one or two Robins at my feeding station I thought I'd try a different variety, and the Nerjer seeds packet had a picture on the front of a goldfinch, so I thought I'd give it a go...within and hour I had two beautiful goldfinches feeding off the feeder I had purchased with the seeds...I have Never seen these birds anywhere in my garden before, but thankfully the Nerjer seeds have done the trick..

Goldfinches love it, but my wallet doesn’t!
I can’t comment on the flavour myself, but the goldfinches go wild for it! It’s not a massive bag for the price though so I probably wouldn’t purchase again. It doesn’t represent value for money compared to similar products on the market.
