Durable, bright, and ready
If I was only allowed 1 flashlight my entire life, this is the one I would commit to and heres why, Out of my flashlights this is the one that I use the most often. I work as a plumber for a public school system and when things are slow I also help out with maintenance on a variety of tasks both big and small. Honestly I think this flashlight is the most versatile type of flashlight I have ever tested. I have actually bought more than one of these with the intent of testing the durability and I have done everything to thouroughly try to wreck these and they just refuse to quit. Using AAA batteries they are readily available if you ever need it to take them out of another device in a situation where you desperately needed a flashlight. The batteries are also inexpensive and readily available. I have literally thrown these as high as I can and let them slam on a cement parking lot and they continue to work flawlessly. The reflector on these is very good and it looks like more than 100 lumens. 60 lumens is rated as enough light to blind a person in a dark environment so at 100 lumens this thing packs a punch for its size and price. I use it every day at work and it is 100% flawless. I let people borrow it and it still continues to get the job done. For a light so small the throw is very good and the hotspot is so bright that if it shines off a wall my eyes actually hurt. I have tried flashlights from other companies and I honestly think that Maglite is the best at designing parts and making them replaceable and durable. Even though they usually offer less lumens, the optics are made so well that I believe Maglite obliterates the competition. These things are built to last and they are repairable. These can easily survive a 30 foot drop. I know because I've repeatedly thrown them as high as I can and have watched them slam on cement. Whether you need a sturdy light to keep in your pocket at work or something to use tactically in a pinch, a small home security light or just a light for general purposes, I believe this is the most versatile light I have ever owned. It is bright enough to lock a door or search your house in the dark and I've used it to illuminate hundreds of feet of crawl space underneath school buildings for my job. I'm very picky with products that I own and this is the light that I prefer for work because it is not too heavy and is versatile and packs a punch like I never imagined it would. You don't need to read any more reviews, just buy it. For the price you can't go wrong. And despite of its low price and small size it is a beast. It's easy to carry in your front pocket with your wallet and even though I walk thousands of feet doing service calls throughout the day walking down long hallways in school buildings I do not feel at all held back by having this in my front pocket. I don't generally write reviews but I just had to because of how much I love this thing. I love it so much that it actually annoys my girlfriend and my roommate because I talked to them about it even though I know they don't care about it but if you buy when I promise you that you will care very much about it and it will be the best decision that you've made this year. It's durable, waterproof, and versatile, and easy to carry without adding much weight to your pocket at all.

Great lights for everyday use.
These are great lights. They are compact, tough, and reliable. They have enough light for most household uses, and they are small enough to store in packs or bags, so you always have a bright, dependable light on hand, when you need it.

Lighting the way for the Surge
I have a Leatherman Surge multitool with all the trimmings. The sheath comes with two sleeves for accessories. I keep the extension bit holder in one (BTW, that piece is a super addition to the base tool because you can use it as a separate small driver as well as adapting normal hex bits to the tool) and wanted a small flashlight for the other. When looking for a flashlight, I wanted it to 1) fit the sleeve; 2) be bright enough to use like a regular flashlight and not just be a weak inspection light (ie. junction boxes); 3) water proof or resistant; 4) LED for longer battery life and bulb life; 5) rugged overall; 6) not insanely expensive; 7) trust the brand. As in many of my flashlight purchases, this pointed to the fine products of the Maglite company, which has the added cache of being made here in the U.S.A. I know they are not always the super highest of tech or performance, but they are always, IMO, a really great value and performance balance. This light is no exception, and in my use may actually be above what I expected. First, was this custom made for my Leatherman or what? I uploaded a photo of the light in the sheath of my Surge. Perfect fit. It has come in handy many times for my forays to my mom's home as well as my mom-in-law's home. Both single women who are still living on their own while being spry super seniors, but not able to repair a lot of stuff around the house. This light makes sure I don't have to use their locally sourced (that means "weak") flashlights when crawling under the sink, near the furnace, back of closets, etc. It is very bright, has that Maglite adjustable beam, and uses batteries that are commonly available and cheap (AAA). I've used both alkaline and Panasonic Eneloop NiMH (just did this for testing) with no issue. In fact, the two or three hours I have on this light have not been enough to even dim the original batteries, let alone run them out. So, especially if your application looks like mine, this is the one and the way to go.

Terrific flashlight
Use this often to search behind, under and around things in my home. Great for taking the dog for a walk too. Fits in my pocket well, and has a bright, adjustable light. Light to hold, but sturdy and I use it so often in my home for multiple things. The light can be narrowed or wider and it's always in my kitchen where I can grab it.

PERFECT EDC
It’s 5x the brightness of a phone light with better beam focus and fits in front pockets not scratching up phone or I can forget about it when it’s tucked next to wallet. Perfect EDC I will actually carry and will be handy.

Tiny and Bright
A very bright little penlight with no switch to break. The little spring in the tail cap had come loose before I put in the (supplied) Energizer batteries. I had to work it into the end cap before I could screw on the cap, but then it worked well.

Great little light WAY better than the Solitaire versions.
Great light for service work etc. To be fair I'm a bit of a flashlight snob. I don't like having to fiddle with them to keep them working. So this is possibly my all time favorite light to use at work. It's plenty bright for working on things but not so bright that it is uncomfortable to use in close quarters. I've had this a few months now and have used it quite a bit. The original batteries were still good up until a couple weeks ago. They weren't fine but I was replacing batteries in another device and only had two left in the pack so I decided to replace them while I was thinking about it. Good size. For years I carried the 2aa size mag-lites with the led conversions. I liked them but the conversions either didn't last or the pins would break off after being dropped a few times. (Nite Ize was probably the best if you want to go that route) The factory 2AA mag-lites are pretty good but to me they were just a bit too long. I lost 3 over the course of a year because they would sometimes come out of my belt holster when I sat down. This 2aa light fits comfortably in a shirt pocket like an ink pen. If you're looking for an uber tactical retina scorching light this isn't it. If you're like me and constantly needing to see into a poorly lit part of a machine less than 20 ft away this little light is hard to beat. Mag lites tend to be a bit underpowered and underwhelming but tough. This time they kinda hit the sweet spot.

Extremely bright & adjustable beam.
So much better than the original model with an extremely bright LED. Good adjustable beam & nice & small to carry. Great Mag quality as usual and good runtime on commonly available batteries. What’s not to like?

明るい光
オーダーの際は確か84LUMENSと表記があったかと思うが、手元に届いた商品は100LUMENSのものであったので良かった。大変明るいLEDライトで夜道でも安心して使うことができる。

Ilumina, ilumina.
