Best buy in 2021
Best purchase in 2021. My only regret is not keeping that window clean!1 This was used no less than 5 x a day and kept us from using our big oven, a bonus during the summer months. We cook chicken breasts ALOT for our son whom is disabled, potato skins, mozzarella sticks, turkey bacon (bought a no stick mat), and whatever else we ate. We also used it to reheat pizza, fries, etc to bring it back to "just bought" quality. I never read the instructions but the air fryer basket made delicious evenly cooked fries when on "rotate."We bought little pans to fit in here, nonstick cooking mats and to make cleaning easier, gave a quick spray to the wire shelves inside and put foil over the pull out bottom dripping pan. We also put it on a slide out shelf when in use so it was pulled out from our cupboards for good ventilation. We bought this then for a little over $100, and it has withstood our "bigger" brands. Recently this was our only cooking source during a 2-month remodel. A real-life saver. While it might not feel sturdy with the plastic casing, it has been easy to clean and still looks new. It's definitely what's on the inside that counts more, and we found reliability. The light is a bonus. Now the clencher, this was definitely overused but still lasted 4.5 years, unfortunately, it has finally started intermittently giving out. I'm here to buy a new and bigger one.

I really like this thing.
Everyone kept telling me they love their air fryer, so I wanted one. I became obsessed with finding the perfect one for me so after a month I settled on this one. First thing I made was berry crisp, threw the stuff together in a couple single serve bake dishes, set it to 350 for 40 minutes and it was perfect. No preheating, no heating the entire apartment, just perfect crisp. There were several complaints from other buyers who said there were missing pieces or their units didn't work, or initially worked and then stopped working. Mine came very well packaged, no damage, all parts included, so I have no complaints there but I understand if maybe some sellers are less thorough or trustworthy in regards to the products they provide. Some complained that it was loud. This is the most quiet kitchen appliance I have ever purchased, it makes less noise than my microwave. Also, I'm not quite sure why people complain that the drip tray isn't large enough, it's literally the same dimensions as the bottom of the unit, so any spill-over should land on the tray unless you're filling this unit over capacity somehow, not sure how that is possible. I also want to mention that although heat did radiate from the unit immediately around it, it did not heat up my kitchen and it stayed warm to the touch but it wasn't hot so despite baking for 40 minutes I was able to open the oven door with my bare hands. . . Anyway, I'm very happy, so far. This is only day one so I will come back and update.***Update*** Sept. 25. . . 2 months after purchase:Iโm still in-love with this item. No electrical issues, whatsoever. Looks like others have had theirs just outright die after working perfectly the first few days or month. Thankfully, that is not the case with mine. Others also reported the door not shutting properly or at all. This, too, has not been an issue. Iโve basically used this item every other day since it arrived. The only thing I will say is that there is definitely room for improvement. But, Iโm just not picky enough to care, I am content in my complacency. For those of you who do care about such details: The temp is set in increments of 10 degrees, 5 would be better. Also, if you decide to stop cooking sooner than the time youโve set it for, the unit never turns off like it would if the timer completed and itโs โfinished.โ There is no โclearโ or reset button or even an on/off button, so if it bothers you that the screen doesnโt power down and displays the minutes remaining until you decide to use it again then youโre forced to just unplug the unit and plug it back in. And when the timer is done the โBEEPโ is very loud and it will beep 5 times, no matter what, it will not be silenced until it has completed its beeps. But there is actually an updated model of this item so these features might be improved (although I have no idea) but it might be worth checking that newer model out if these would be issues for you.**8 month update**The plastic on the handle has cracked, but it does not interfere with the functionality and I am still in love.** 2.5 year update, Jan 2024**Still works with consistent use!

Works well
Had it for several months now and it works great. My only critique is that it doesnโt have a reheat setting so you just have to play around with it for things like next day pizza but it was easy enough. Lightweight and easy to clean.

This thing's great!
First let me say that this is appliance is really a tiny oven. Yes, it'll "fry" sweet potato fries and zucchini coins, but its real treasure is the rotisserie feature. But I get ahead of myself...I got this air fryer for Christmas - I was so excited! But the rotisserie didn't work and that was one of the reasons I wanted it. The return to Amazon was easy and I actually got the new one before I shipped the one I was returning. Yes, I'm lazy. The new one works perfectly and I love it. I've rotisseried leg of lamb, roasted pork tenderloins, made the mandatory sweet potato fries, baked fish sticks and bread. My husband even baked some cookies with it. It cooks quickly too, with even results. The thing you need to understand is that the interior isn't very big. I had to cut the lamb leg in half and I'm not entirely sure the oven could handle a whole chicken unless you could find a pretty small one. And if you're using both shelves, you'll definitely want to switch them about halfway through the cooking time since the bottom of the fryer doesn't brown as well as the top does (makes sense since the fan's there). So far, our only "fail" was when my husband tried to bake a casserole in it. For some reason it just didn't heat up well and we had to finish it in the big oven. Perhaps a metal pan would have worked better? Or maybe he had the temp set wrong... I didn't check behind him.Clean-up is awesome! The shelves aren't a solid piece of metal - they are wire. I thought they'd be a real pain to clean but they clean up very easily. The drip pan on the bottom literally wipes clean, although grease stays on it if you don't use soap. The interior of the oven also wipes clean! I just use a damp cloth and I can easily clean the rails that hold the shelves where the gradou gets built up. Piece of cake.My Chefman Air fryer does a great job and I know I'm going to love using it this summer when I hate using the big oven.

Updated - Door won't stay closed; missing parts
Buyer Beware:I received this for Christmas and opened it December 24. I immediately discovered the two rotisserie forks were missing. I emailed Chefman support on 1/24/20, asking them to send the missing forks. Sasha responded on 12/31/20, asking for more details. I sent her the requested details on 1/1/21. I received no response so inquired again on 1/11/21. On 1/12/21 I received a response back from Sasha that the forks were not in stock, but they would be sent to me as soon as they were. On 1/29/21 I received a package from Chefman that only included one fork. I had been very clear that both forks were mentioned. I emailed them and told them I only received one fork, but I did not receive a response. On 2/2/21, I received a survey email from Chefman asking me to rate my experience. I tried to fill out the form and let them know I was still waiting for the missing fork, but the submit button on the survey page did not work. So, I forwarded the survey email back to them with my rating and complaints. On 2/5/21 I received another email from Sasha saying she had processed the order for another fork and that I should receive an email in 7-10 business days that had a tracking number. I emailed Sasha back on 2/24/21 letting them know I still had not received that email. On top of that, the door no longer wants to stay closed. I've cleaned it as best as I could to make sure it's not crumbs keeping it open, but it seems like it's a factory problem. Did a little googling and other buyers have had the same problem. I have to turn it so that the door is against the wall in order to keep it closed while it's working.I bought this version of an air fryer specifically because it was also a rotisserie, but 2 months later, I haven't been able to use that feature. And not the door won't stay closed. As I said at the beginning, Buyers Beware.UPDATE - Air Fryer customer service came through and sent me a brand new unit which has all the right parts and works perfectly. It has become my favorite kitchen appliance to use. I did a rotisserie chicken last week and it was delicious! And we love doing french fries in the basket.

Warning: Malfunctioning and Safety Issue with Chefman Airfryer
I want to warn potential buyers about its cheap materials and the safety hazards associated with the Chefman Airfryer and express my deep disappointment with the product and the company's customer service. After just one year of use, the door of the Airfryer+ began to loosen and became difficult to close and open. The issue was not with the joints or screws but with the plastic wearing out when opening or closing the door. (plus, the handle part was already cracked within a few months. I thought that was because of me being careless but after reading others' reviews, it wasn't. )This problem alone should be concerning, but it becomes even more dangerous when the door opens during heating and cooking, especially when it's hot. It is happening and now we have the product plugged off.One night, the Airfryer door unexpectedly opened and hit a heavy glass bowl in its path, causing it to fall and break into pieces, leaving glass splinters all over the kitchen floor.I tried to contact Chefman's customer service before the accident occurred, but they did not respond promptly. The loose door was already a significant safety concern and malfunctioning point, especially for a product that generates heat.I strongly advise potential buyers to avoid this product as the potential dangers outweigh any benefits. The lack of regard for customer safety and accountability from Chefman is unacceptable. Customer safety should always be the top priority.

Good Machine, a little small.
I bought this air fryer about 2 years ago and still have it. Pretty good overall. The dial is great, just turn it to adjust time and temperature. The presets are pretty accurate and good, and if need to be adjusted a few extra minutes or less heat, just turn the dial. Food comes out great, looks good too and is easy to use. I usually make 1lb of Wings and fries at the same time no problem... You can either make Wings for 2, fries for 2, or Wings/Fries for one.Downside is, the size is a little small to make a whole chicken as rotisserie. I'd say 1kg at most or the chicken will get stuck and not turn properly. Also, the handle (one of the most used and important parts of the machine) is made of cheap plastic and breaks. Chefman should've used something more durable for the handle.Overall, I would recommend this product, and if they ever decide to design this machine to be a little bigger inside (Fit more food) and better handle, it'll be a perfect machine for the single people out there, a must have.

love it
receive it 4 days after buying it so it's pretty fast, use it for the second time tonight, made chicken breast and fries, i use the basket for the fries, since they were cut in little square, it took at least 30 min to get them cook and brown (the preset setting is only 20 minute and they weren't brown enough so i had 10 min. (you can had time even if it's already working by turning the start/stop knob on the appliance.)As for the chicken breast even if it wasn't a whole chicken, you should use the roast setting especially if the breast are thick, it did stick a little bit on the rack, all you have to do is let it soak in soapy hot water for 5 min before washing it and then use a soft brush to clean it.The first time the basket was a little bit tricky and took a little bit of time to set it properly to make it turn. (i didn't cook them together cause the inside is not high enough for the basket and the rack to be place at the same time.)The first time i use it was to cook frozen corn dog, over the net, someone said to put it a 400F for 10 min but if you use both rack to cook more than 6, i suggest setting the timer to 15 min so you won't have to take the bottom one and switch it with the first.i put 4 stars for easy to use since it took me sometimes to put the basket in place so it can turn. Be careful the side of the unit can become hot to touch same thing where the start/stop nub is. You don't have to wait until the time ends if you see that what you put in is cook enough, you just have to open and close the door to make it stop and then unplug it.
