- Vitamin C 1000 mg, Time Release Capsules, 275 VegCaps

I like to take 1000 mg of vitamin C without having any gastric distress. I’m confident that it dissolves well because it’s a capsule filled with tiny granules, and not a hard compressed pill that may pass through my body without being absorbed This Solaray brand works well and the price is reasonable.

I take these Vitamin C capsules daily for general immune health, and the quality is excellent. Even at 1000mg, the capsules are smooth and easy to swallow with a full glass of water, leaving no unpleasant aftertaste. I love that the formula includes rose hips and bioflavonoids to aid with better absorption and bioavailability. It’s a reliable, high-potency supplement that has caused absolutely no stomach upset.

Title says it all. Every brand of vitamin C I’ve ever found makes me gag from the smell and taste. This one isn’t pleasant, but it’s WAY less bad than other brands. I can actually swallow it without gagging, as long as I hold my breath when taking it out of the bottle and then swallow it fast. Vitamin C drastically boosts your body’s ability to absorb plant-based iron, so I was told by my doctor to take it alongside my iron supplement for iron deficiency. If it weren’t doctor-ordered, I definitely would have stopped trying new brands after the first one or two were so awful. Instead, I persisted and tried another several gag-inducing brands after that before finding this one. If you’re in the same boat I was in, definitely try this brand.

Works for me, but a bit large. Better if you take it with food.

This vitamin C is the only one I’ll buy because it’s a capsule and it’s time released. I have a lot of problems with my stomach so this is the only one I can take.

I really like this Solaray Vitamin C timed release. It never bothers my stomach, and is easy to swallow with a glass of water. Plus the bottle contains 275 capsules of vitamin C and lasts a long time.
