This minimal style is indeed warm. It's reversible, sort of a double-knit rather than two separate layers, and is low-pile and dense, but soft. It's softer than comparable styles you see everywhere, and the plaid is really cozy. I decided against it for two reasons: 1) It's TOO minimal--no buttons or pockets--and would be had to hold together when one arm is in a sling, and 2) it's voluminous and best on a tall, slim woman.
