FYI. I bought both so he could have a little air or a lot. The small one does not quite fit the window even though it was supposed to, so I've had to stuff cloth filters on one side to make sure all the dust and pollen wasn't making it's way in that way. The window is 36" wide and the small one initially expands that far, but constricts after a few minutes.
