The car was over 20 years old and had only had basic crap gasoline (not Top Tier and no fuel system cleaners) in it for its entire life. A few days after I added it, the check engine light DID come on and it WAS a broken O2 sensor. However, I'll do it again in a heartbeat, because a new O2 sensor was $13 and took 10 minutes to replace. So it seems it is possible that using this with an extremely crusty vehicle will cause an O2 sensor error/failure. But with long term use, certainly not. I have been using this in my 2016 Mazda 3 several times a year for 5+ years and it is running like the day I got it. **Q: diesel engine, LPG engine all use??** A: Definitely do NOT add this to a diesel or LPG fuel tank or anything else that isn't normal gasoline. This cleaner uses Polyetheramine (PEA). PEA is a nitrogen-based detergent that is widely considered the "gold standard" in the industry because it is thermally stable. Unlike cheaper detergents (like PIB or polyisobutylene), PEA does not break down at the high temperatures found in the combustion chamber, allowing it to effectively remove carbon deposits from fuel injectors, intake valves, and the combustion chamber itself. Also, out of all the over the counter FI cleaners, Redline has the highest concentration. Red Line SI-1 generally contains between 30% and 40% PEA by weight. Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus: Typically contains 20% to 30% PEA. Gumout Regane High Mileage: Usually sits in the 10% to 25% PEA range.
