Reuzel Grooming Tonic, Hair Oil Treatment For Men, 3.38 oz

It's light, smells good, and calms down your frizz, dryness, and excessive volume. I was looking for a hair product that wasn't going to cement your hair into a suffocating gel-scalp-helmet or thicken your hair into clay or grey goop and Reuzel's Grooming Tonic has been the best product so far. It smells good, refreshing, and inoffensive. It smells like Garnier shampoo. May not be for those who want to smell "unique" and stand out, but PERFECT for those who want to smell good, but in a low-key, unnoticeable, and inoffensive way. It keeps my frizz and excessive volume down, which is what I bought it for. I don't need to use much per application. Just some drops into my palm, rub together, and apply to hair. Great product. I'm glad it exists. I see they're a spray bottle version. May buy that next for easier, less messy application.

Smells amazingly “clean” and wonderful.

This is a great addition to your hair care products! Light viscosity and glides into hair. Apply to damp hair and blow dry for extra volume and control before applying your pomades or styling creams. This can also be used by itself (especially if you already have thick hair) if you don't like to cake product into your hair. It will add a light hold and control frizzies. I've always had fine straight hair so I use this as a base when I get out of the shower. I use this product along with quite a few of their water-based pomades and I absolutely love it! I also love the aesthetic that they are going for; that classic Barber shop feel. I'm not too crazy about the smell, but it's not offensive either. The fragrance does not give me that classic Barber shop smell. I think of barbershops and I think of the smell of talc or a soft mature man's cologne or aftershave. This smells like a fruit scent car-freshener. It's not offensive and it doesn't stink. It still smells clean, but by no means gives me that barber shop fragrance. And the fragrance dissipates after a short while anyway so I guess it doesn't matter too much. Amazing product!

Pretty cool product recommended to me by a barber whose shop doesn't even sell it anymore. Using this on damp hair and then blow drying thickens up the hair follicle, so it’s good for giving thinning, fine hair more volume. If you still have a little scalp showing through, though, this product’s shininess will make it more obvious, so I’ve only used it followed by a dry shampoo powder to add even more volume and mattify the scalp. It’s a bit sticky, and if you workout and sweat with it in your hair, you’ll end up with a sticky neck. Smells great, worth it for special occasions, but a bit too sticky for everyday use.

I continue to buy this because it provides a light hold on hair and doesn't leave it stiff or shiny. A little goes a long way so a bottle lasts me many weeks if not a few months. It doesn't look like you have used anything, but yet provides a great hold to your hair without it being like a wig.

Reuzel is an inexpensive grooming tonic that will last a long time. Only a small amount (a quarter size) in your palm rubbed together will be enough for most men to hold their flyaway hairs in place. The smell is a nice and subtle musk that goes away in about an hour so there is no smell on your pillow. It will hold almost any kind of hair and gives your hair a healthy look without being shiny. If you want a really strong hold, simply apply more product, but so little is necessary. I have short grey hair so it is perfect for me and I can use a brush or comb to style. Later in the day if you want to restyle, simply wet your hair slightly again and restyle. This bottle is a bargain and it is a great product.

My barber uses this on my hair before applying pomade and it does make a difference. I picked it up here much cheaper than he sells it and he even told me to buy it here. I'm a fan of Reuzel products thus far. I'm not even sure what this does exactly, or how it does it, but it makes a difference when used properly (aka, I copy what my barber does to a T) and I don't need much. A bottle will last a long time. As far as I can tell it just softens and preps my hair to better receive pomade/clay. Smells fantastic too. I wouldn't say it's necessary in my routine, but I quite enjoy it.
