I built a new house and foolishly picked the upgraded appliances. The initially installed microwave lasted 14 months....(Warranty expired after 12 and you guessed it, Kitchen aid would not honor the warranty!!!) Had to order a new one since I bought the double oven and this as a set... The oven fan broke after 15 months!!!. So back to the 2nd new microwave... The turn table plate cracked during use, (did not drop it!!!) It's warranty is only 30 days!!! Getting the part has been an exercise from hell... Part on back order from China since Jan. it's now end of March.!!! But look on the bright side.... the microwave can't break again if we can't use it!!!! I had to buy it for my mother in law so I can not remember 100%...but it's safe to say it wasn't included. **Q: The dimensions state 13" high, but that includes the legs/feet beneath, can any owner measure the height/width of the actual front panel/door for me?** A: I just measured a total of 12 and 15/16", so just a hair under 13" from countertop to top of microwave. Front panel is 11 7/8". The feet themselves are only about 1/2" tall, so the frame that is the base for the feet takes up some space as well (so with the feet off, you'd still need 12 1/2" or so of clearance.Hopefully not too much info!! **Q: Where are the vents located on this unit - thinking about clearance for cabinet mounting,** A: the back of the unit **Q: Will this fit the trim kit from my kcms1555sss-1? the website says it discontinued that model (kcms1555sss-1) and transitioned to this one.** A: The best answer I can give is sort of. My builder did not measure well and the trim kit was not fastened in very well.
