what is the highest and lowest position of the seat??

At the lowest point, I am getting 16.5 from the ground to the top of the cushion (without sitting on it) and 20 for the highest position. That being said, we are using these in a spare conference room and they haven't been used much yet. I wonder if the flexibility of the chair changes with use?

Are the arms removable?

You can remove them if you want (or not assemble them to the chair in the first place), but it would be harder to sit in it. It's a pretty narrow chair.

How do you get it to tilt? I followed the instructions and it didn't work.

The directions say turn knob clockwise to make it tilt easily...HOWEVER, that is incorrect... turn it counter-clockwise to make it tilt easily... LEFTY LOOSY and RIGHTY TIGHTY... other wise the directions were excellent and easy to understand... works great

Will the chair blow up? I'm worrying about the pressure inside the pneumatic control that will blow up.

I had one since January 2017, and the pneumatic mecahanism did indeed fail two weeks ago, so about 5 1/2 years of life out of that. (It just failed, it didn't blow up) But I was unhappy with the faux leather long before that. It began disintegrating after about a year to a year and 1/2 old. Peeled off from the arms first and then the seatback peeled away as well. The polyurethane bonded (faux) leather is crap.
