Indian Art and Culture [Nitin Singhania] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Indian Art and Culture Review: Good Review: Beautifully presented content with lots of pictures and videos. The (coloured) text although bulky, is very readable as it is written from the perspective of a student. No doubt, Mr. Singhania secured such good ranks in exams. The arrangement of the text is theme wise unlike 'An Introduction to Fine Arts - NCERT' which presents the content chronologically. For example, the first chapter is about Indian Architecture from ancient to modern times, the next chapter about Indian Paintings and so on. The Fine Arts NCERT presents all that happened in the pre-Harappan times in a chapter with the next one dealing with Harappan period. I find this presentation useful from two perspectives - 1. Its easier to memorise 2. Questions are asked in this pattern. This is a one stop solution to Indian Art & Culture for all exams. No more scanning the web for NIOS material, browsing for indiaculture.nic.in or CCRT. Believe me, I have done that. And I wouldn't be writing this review if I had not cleared the UPSC prelims in 2019.

I bought this "Indian Art and Culture" book written by Nitin Singhania- Second Edition sold by Mittal Books India for Rs.356 in this Amazon. In the cover it was mentioned Videos available through QR code, you must visit the website www.mhhe.com to access video relevant to chapters ( for that username , password required may be- I haven't tried.. Honestly speaking) This book is much useful in the pursuit of their Aim- There is new two chapters with an appendix in this second edition. Whatever they're adding they had mentioned in preface. So it gives added note. This book has trend analysis before the content page where a beginner can read about the information provided and understand. There is four sections namely visual arts, performing arts, culture of India and appendices. Lot of information provided along with practice questions. Previous question prelims and mains also given. A Reader can learn alot of things which were important in culture part. Finally go for it! I wish all the best for all candidates who are preparing and going to prepare in future. Good luck!! Thanks for reading!!
