I actually bought this for my daughter for her 12th birthday. We finally got a chance to sit down and watch the videos and practice. I’m so amazed at how realistic the practice skin is and the quality of the materials and items. It’s absolutely useful for med students. And with supervision, a great, learning tool for younger people interested in medicine. The teacher in the videos is very good. He’s very clear, easy to follow and understand. The photo is all her work.

I am quite pleased by the A+ medics suture kit. I got my brother to purchase this suturing kit for me since he is a prime member and the kit arrived to me in 2 days. This suture kit is AMAZING! The suturing pad & tools are of very high quality like they say! Their How to suture eBook is also great but I especially liked their video course. There are 12 videos in total (5 different suturing technique videos, 2 how to handle tools videos, 1 Square knot video...etc.). The videos are short, clear, and simple. Dr. Mario explains how to place sutures the correct way and he also explains why and when each technique is used which I found to be really valuable since I am new to suturing. AMAZING KIT I would highly recommend this suture practice kit to any med students that want to feel comfortable with suturing!

A thoughtful and solid quality kit! This kit is organized carefully and the skin pad has a base that prevents it from sliding around the surface. As an exhausted medical student on surgery rotation, the little note on the box was a sweet little reminder to keep going 🥹

Nice kit, very informational and educational

I wasn't expecting the actual metal instruments to be such good quality. I figured the simulated dermis/epidermis would be good quality but was expecting cheapo pliers and tension-er. They have a nice little message written on the inside top of the box that was nice to read, they seem like a good company. If you are on the fence about purchasing I would say go ahead and do it because you aren't going to get anything better from somewhere else.

This is a good starter kit for the medical student who doesn't know very much at all about suturing. I was disappointed in the "video course;" while useful to a beginner, it's no so much of a "course" as it is a series of 12 videos (6 are filler) related to the 1. surgeon's knot, 2. simple interrupted suture, 3. simple running suture, 4. vertical mattress, 5. horizontal mattress, 6. subcuticular suture. 2/6 fillers are intros to the material (ie, learning how to hold the scalpel blade & needle driver; I count these as filler because I expect every course to include these, plus this is easily found information and will be introduced in your medical courses). 4/6 videos include an introduction by a physician, the physician's medical journey (while inspirational, not relevant to the content), unboxing the kit, and a conclusion video. I expected the course to be a focused surgical course taking me from complete beginner to expert. While I am a novice, and this kit is useful to me, I found this particular silicone material to be a bit easily torn; it just seems easily macerated. I remember suturing in anatomy did not nearly macerate so easily!

Med student here. I was hesitant about buying this kit because there aren’t many reviews, but I took my chances because it came with the carryall leather case which is not offered by other brands and it was well WORTH IT!! The silicone pad’s texture is what made all the difference for me. I wanted my suture training to be as realistic as possible and this pad does the job perfectly thanks to its skin like texture. I also like that the kit bundle includes everything for suturing. The carryall leather case is advertised as a bonus, but for me it is a must-have as it keeps everything neat, protects the pad’s texture and makes it convenient to carry inside my backpack. My experience has been great, and I will be recommending this kit to my friends in uni!

I realize this is not a children's toy, but My son wants to be a surgeon when he grows up and he asked for this for Christmas. With careful supervision and his determined and serious attitude, today he watched all the videos, memorized the names of the tools and practiced holding and operating the suture driver. He even safely and successfully loaded a scalpel blade onto the holder all on his own- first try! I couldn't be happier with this product, nor prouder of my son. And the message on the inside of the box really inspired him. It reads: "Hey You! Within this box, you'll find more than tools and supplies.
