I thought all "trussing needles" were the same. While the material used to make this needle is top quality and so far is not rusting on me. I do wished I had paid more attention to where the eye hole was before clicking "Place your order". Since the threading hole is at the back of the needle, you need to pull the entire length of the needle out of the meat to get to the twine. I would've preferred that the hole was near the pointy end of the needle, so I only have to poke the needle out of the meat a little bit to yank the twine all the way thru. This saves some time and effort from trying to pull a slippery, bloody, thin piece of sharp metal all the way thru a piece of meat.

I was at a loss for a craft needle long enough to run through the pumpkins I was crocheting to create the dimple which gives thier shape. This needle is substantial and was able to penitrate polyfil stuffing. Perfect for my purpose!

It worked great on helping me make my Turduckin for thanksgiving dinner. It looked like a Frankinstien Turkey but it worked. Highly recommend!
