is it compatible with a mac?

I just downloaded the mac software for it today and it works. It must have being released to make it compatible. www.logitech.com/support/g302. It is compatible as far back as mac os x 10.8

Is this mouse fast under linux? Anyone w/ experience under ubuntu?

It's acceptable for users of Arch. I don't use Ubuntu so I can't answer this question authoritatively. "Fast" is also subjective to most people. XFCE gives you nice mouse speed and acceleration settings for the latest XFCE version and Linux kernel. The lighting effects cannot be turned off and I will be contacting Logi about it shortly. I'll maybe provide an update to this answer if it gets solved.
