desertcart.com: Blackest Night Omnibus (10th Anniversary): 9781401291198: Johns, Geoff, Reis, Ivan, Mahnke, Doug, Tomasi, Peter J., Gleason, Patrick: Books Review: Very well put together omnibus - I was a little hesitant on buying this book at first due to the size. I have heard an omnibus could be difficult reading and caring for based on page number, and at just shy of 1700 pages definitely had me on the fence. Only other omnibus I had at the time was Batman by Morrison which is around 700 I believe, so that much of a jump made me nervous. The binding is perfect, it seems loose at first but with such a huge page count it needs it. When the book is laying flat it has a good eye in the center and no loose ends, pages didn't come loose, nothing bad at all, very sturdy binding, opens up nicely so very little gutter loss. Only really noticed it in like the first and last 150 pages only because it's not opened all the way at that point. Its held together very well through 2 reads and a few flip throughs to enjoy the artwork. Story was very easy to get into, I had never read anything green lantern before this and had no problem understanding who or what was going on. Gives good enough introduction to each character from Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner to Donna Troy and Hank Hall, and there's just about everybody in the DCU in here. Great action and storytelling, really hooked me in with the dark atmosphere and horror aspects. Once I started reading I did not want to stop, every issue either had a great fight or questions answered on how all of this was happening. This book made me feel alot more comfortable owning an omnibus. Very well put together and having a whole event or run in one book is great. This was my second omnibus I had ever owned... now i have 16, do i have a problem? Maybe. Do i blame this book? Yes Review: Monster omni - Arrived in perfect condition. Huge awesome omni with a great story.

Big collection!
This is a really well executed series. Comic book writing has become an almost lost art and with the cost of comic books rising, it’s nice to get real entertainment value out of comics again. I love the omnibus collections. They’re big for sure!

Fantastic product
This is my first DC omnibus, minus a copy of the Death of Superman omnibus from it's first printing. This is so gorgeous. It's huge and fantastic. I actually ordered all three of the Green Lantern omnibuses after receiving this, I was so impressed with this quality printing. Now if only I had some free time from working to read em all, but all in good time. Really, the colors and printing quality are something awesome with this comic. It's so huge, and the story looks epic, although I am unfamiliar with it. I am only reviewing on the quality of the product and artwork, since I am unfamiliar with this story arc. I bought it because it just looked too cool, and it doesn't disappoint in person.

Blackest Night is one of my all time favorite comic book events of 2000s and I'm so proud to own this collection and it comes good condition. However there's a few nitpicks about this collection: the missing tie-ins and director's cut. You would think a 10th anniversary edition would included a full complete of Blackest Night tie-in issues, such as Booster Gold #26 & #27, Doom Patrol #4 & #5, Justice League of America #39 & #40, Outsiders #24 & #25, Superman/Batman #66 & #67, and R.E.B.E.L.S. #10 & #11, but sadly, none of those are included. They should've split the whole volume into two parts to include all tie-ins. To me, it doesn't feel like a complete edition without every tie-in. Overall, regardless my criticism, it's still an excellent mega event, i highly recommended get this collection for both DC and Green Lantern fans.

Don’t think the book needs any review as we all know this is one of the greatest and most sought after omni, which collects one of the most important dc event. I was lucky to snag it on deal price. Binding is also great given it has more than 1600 pages. The problem is with amazon delivery which thinks sending such huge and heavy collectible book in a plastic bag is okay!
