I’ve had several Phenyx Pro products and I have to admit this is one of the best I’ve tried so far. Working with a lot of musicians who are often on a budget, the Phenyx gear seems to fit the bill. But I have seen many of them all trying to work in the crowded 900MHz range. So this one being in the 500MHz range helps this unit perform better around other devices. I was quite impressed by the handheld unit as well. Most of the shell is metal so when I picked it up, it actually felt like a wireless Shure 58. I have a ULXD system for comparison and this felt very similar to that. The handheld actually sounded very clean. The recessed power / mute button is an improvement over previous Phenyx handhelds. I use these systems for speeches and wedding ceremonies so handing a mic to someone who has never (or rarely uses) a mic can be a nightmare when they keep muting it. This system is almost impossible to accidentally mute so that’s an improvement. The belt pack is lightweight but that’s because it’s mostly plastic. The clip is really good but I almost worry that the strong tension of the clip might put strain on the plastic housing. I guess we’ll see how resilient it is over time. The headset mic sounds good but probably not good for a user who moves around a lot. For instance, if a fitness instructor were trying to use this headset, forget about it. It’s meant more for a more static person. The lapel mic is hot! Don’t let the user get anywhere near the PA. Ask me how I know! Overall, the biggest complaint would really be just the build quality of the body pack. If the pack were built as sturdy as the handheld, this system would be spectacular for the price. As long as you use it for the purposes it was designed, and don’t expect it to be as great as a $1300 Shure ULXD system, you’re going to like it. Good range, decent battery life, decent frequency bandwidth to find one that works, and a fantastic price for what you get. I’m actually going to get rid of the Shure BLX system I was using because the PTU-71-1H1B is so much better in so many ways.

Phenyx PTU wireless Microphone System. I had gotten out of being in a full time band and have been looking for a great alternative to the wireless 4 mic setup that I had. I had been looking and looking when I came across this setup and was intrigued, I pulled the trigger and placed the order. Upon arrival I busted the box open like the koolaid man coming through the wall and was super excited to see what was before me. The Microphone is a metal and very sturdy well made mic, everything seems to be great. I hooked it up the mic in my opinion has a killer tone and captures my voice greatly, I tried moving around, didn't have any lag or connection issues, I live in a camper so I stepped outside and the connection stayed the same through the walls, which is something to say, I often have issues with electronics passing through the walls. The Lapel and headset mic's both work great, they are a little hot but with some adjustments I found a greatly useable sound. The main issue I found with the entire setup was the battery door on the body pack is a little laking, somewhat flimsy and a little hard to open and close, other than that the LED displays are easily seen on the mic, body pack and the reciever box itself. All in all I would recommed this setup and will be using it in my personal musical endeavors.

This is a great entry-to-mid-tier wireless system with excellent reliability, clear sound, and no major dropouts reported in widespread use. The mute quirk is probably the biggest (and most common) downside for bodypack users who need fast, foolproof control—it's workable once you get used to it, but definitely not ideal compared to systems with dedicated mute switches. Perfect for a single performer, as can use the MIC and the body pack for your instrument. The one issue is that it's not a true dedicated one-click mute button (like some higher-end bodypacks have), and the behavior changes based on whether the unit has been idle, which can feel inconsistent or require explanation to new users/stage crew. The manual confirms: "Short press (tap) to mute the transmitter," but notes the power button also handles on/off (long press) and the screen/mute interaction. Some reviews and demo videos mention this quirk but note no audible pops/clicks when muting, which is a plus. If the muting workflow is a dealbreaker for your setup, you might look at slightly higher-tier options with more straightforward controls, but for most users, this unit punches well above its weight and delivers pro-level results on a budget. I'm really happy with this purchase. It's a bit more than I wanted to spend, but the quality seems good. The headset mic works well, even with the around the head thing being far too big for me. I'm thinking to 3d print one that fits. I have only tested the handheld mic once and it was super quiet - not sure if it's used error or not. Will have to try it out again and try different settings. The instructions are very generic so there wasn't much in the way of a troubleshooting guide in the box.

Very impressed with all 3 mics. Very easy to setup and a real advantage to be able to scan for the best signal especially if there’s other wireless items about. Very high quality and well worth every penny.

Trabajo con sistemas inalambricos y no hay nada con esta calidad por este precio. La conexion es muy estable, no hay caidas, la petaca funciona muy bien y el microfono, no es un shure ni un SE electronics pero va bien , tiene pocos medios agudos, el grave es feo, pero nada que no se pueda arreglar ecualizando. Seria positivo que las dos frecuencias pudiera ir en el mismo grupo, pero no se puede. Aún así le doy cinco estrellas , materiales de calidad y 0 problemas.
