These castanets sound great! The material they are made with are very durable and should last a long time in a public school setting with the included mount -meaning it (shouldn’t) get lost!

Distinctive sound cuts well, but it's also passably authentic and "wood-like." Mounts conveniently within a drumset and is easy to play.

It’s perfect. Just four things:1. The bolt holding it to the back was snapped in half. It isn’t necessary but just wondering how it got that way.2. The left is raised 1/2 as much as the right and you can’t adjust them.3. The right one keeps getting stuck in the closed position.4. It is in a clear, very thin plastic bag. It was not wrapped or protected in any way for shipping. It was put into a small, white, plastic Amazon bag. Now I know how the first three things on this list happened.I reordered because I need it but please Amazon! This is something that needs to be wrapped and protected well! You can’t just throw it into a bag! At least put it into a box…that would incur less damage than a bag. Wrap it in something…paper, plastic, I don’t care.I can’t BELIEVE how some of these things are wrapped for shipping. Maybe Amazon is not able to get the packing supplies, since everyone has had trouble getting supplies they need. If that’s the case, Bezos should pay us back by finding the appropriate materials instead of using our money to build rockets.

Sound quality is good - adjusting takes a little work, but great overall.

Nice set of castanets for tight setups and multiple setups where you odn't have the time or luxury of using authentic wood castanets. Easily mounts to an accessory rack and because they're synthetic, they can be played with drum sticks which is also conveninet!

These are perfect. They sound great, and are easy to operate. AND they mount very securely. A winner.
