Studio Pro 692 - Heat Resistant Stained Glass Work Surface - 12" X 12"

Wonderful work surface! My mother was a professional stained glass artist so I was spoiled by her extravagant art workshop when I was younger. I recently got back into doing stained glass work and I'm afraid my small 1 bedroom apartment isn't the ideal setup. Luckily, this product has saved me from burning the complex down or scratching the surface of my desk. It's great for nearly any art project, but especially anything involving heat. I only wish Diamond Tech made a larger version for bigger projects!

I find a board this size convenient for small projects and having several allow me to carefully move and switch to something else as the need arises. its also nice for teaching the grandkids, each can have their own board, precuts, foil, ect. and agin should the need to leave before finishing the project I can put it into my work cabinet keeping them safe till they come back to finish them.

This board works perfect for my stained glass. I can use it to cut on solder on. Love it

Works great!

No worries about heat when I use this. It has protected my kitchen table exactly like it should - NO heat transfers to my table. The 12"x12" size is large enough to have room to work, but small enough that you can use multiple boards if you want to work on several projects. I have not noticed any smell when high temps hit this surface. I also like the 1/2" lift - your projects set a little above the table, making the work all that easier. I am going to order a couple more of these so I can completely cover an old table I have been wanting to turn into my metal/glass working table. I recommend!

This is the perfect size for a beginner like me who will make small projects while I learn. I will definitely buy another one when I decide to make a project greater than 12" in length.

Material is perfect. The size is too small. It not a big enough work space.

Perfect for stained glass work

Sent it back as the board was damaged and did not get a replacement as product material differed from what I expected. If it was not damaged it would have done the job. It was a good size for stained glass work.

Excellent product, affordable and arrived quickly. I am new to the art of stained glass and had to disassemble a piece I’d made a bit of a mess of. There was a mess of solder, adhesive and mangled foil, and this little board cleaned up like a champ! It accepts framing pins well, while still be sturdy, and still leaves a nice smooth surface behind.

Perfect board for making stained glass, works just like described

Mine has a hump on one side so I have to place on a towel underneath it to stop it from wobbling. Update: company contacted me and reshipped me the product really fast. Works as described.
