I have a standard top load Whirlpool Washer and the basket inside wouldn't spin to remove excess water during the spin cycle. After a few internet searches I learned the clutch was worn, much like brakes on a car. So after disconnecting the power and removing the agitator inside the machine(one bolt). I tilted the washer back I removed the motor (3 bolts) and swapped the clutch plate on the top to fix the issue. Now it spins like new and my wife is happy to be able to use her washer again.
