Is this a Microtech for poor people?

Honestly I've had a few Microtech knives and theirs one main difference between the 2. Microtech knives are great knives with great build quality but with the price not many people are going to EDC one and risk damaging it. Where as with these they have good build quality at a affordable price. They can handle a beating without much worry about breaking the bank to replace the knife or get it repaired. So it's a clear choice when looking for a EDC that you know you'll use a lot.

Let's try this again...is this knife really a d2 blade? reports seem to indicate that it's not, and i don't want to waste time with a cheap 420 blade.

Short of lab testing there is no way of knowing. Those familiar with Chinese steel claim it exhibits the characteristics of the Chinese designation that is the most equivalent to D2. If there is another issue, it's that the heavy embossed area on the side of the blade indicates it's cast, not shaped from billet, and likely weak. It would hang and clog up with anything it tried to cut. It's certainly a better grade of Chinese knife than the average in a flea market booth, where mine is for sale.

Can you please fix the problem with this knife not shipping to NY? There are no restrictions keeping this knife from being shipped here.

I'll sell ya the one I just got, I'm not as big a fan as some are.
