The tip is better than expected it is nice and wide and has some nice flexibility. However it lacks any real good grip on ice so be careful on ice but the texture holds up on other surfaces. It also helps distribute weight rather than just a single point making it easier to stand up longer and walk more distances. The rubber will wear out eventually but what you get out of it is worth it. loving it on my Dr. House foldable can. Worth it for short or long term cane use.

A very well made, robust and sturdy cane tip. Lasts a long time before replacement even with every day general usage (no long hikes or rugged mountain climbing ;) ). It is rather a heavy cane tip and may prove a bit of a challenge for frail elderly users, but the rewards, which include a larger foot spread than others for greater stability, may outweigh this. Some also may not like that it does not flex with cane motion, but I find this more supporting and less likely to become unstable when placing a large amount of pressure on the tip. I would certainly recommend this tip over others advertised on this site.

I recently started using a standard cane because of some lower back issues. The problem was the cane always had to be leaning against something to keep it upright when I wasn't using it. I was going to buy a new cane that had four feet but when I saw this replacement tip I decided to give it a try. Pulling off the old tip and pushing the cane into this new one takes less than a minute and is simple to do. Now my cane stands upright on any flat surface, although it can still tip over easily if bumped. But if it does fall, I can usually stand it up again simply by pressing on one its corners with my foot. I wouldn't say it offers any more "shock absorbency" than the original tip did. But so far the tip is holding up fine without any cracks or signs of wear. And for the price, it isn't a bad option compared to buying a new cane. There are some less expensive similar devices available but the pictures of them make it appear that they aren't as well-made as this one is. So far I'm pleased with this device.

I did a lot of research on cane tips & bought 2 that I thought would work best for my mother. They both helped with stability, but this one was lighter, so it's the one my mother is using. She is 88 and every ounce she has to lift with each step she takes adds up and makes a difference. The tip lasts about 2 years, then the bottom rubber starts to wear down, just like the bottom of a shoe. With this base, the cane will not stand by itself, although that's not a big deal for my mother. She just leans the cane against something.

This cane base is too lightweight, which causes my cane to continually fall when not in use. Unfortunately, I replaced my old base with this one when it arrived and can't return it. I don't recommend this one.

Good product; it fits any cane and is sturdy.

Tired of having to bend over all the time if someone knocks your cane over? Then this is for you. If you need both hands to do something, you can let go of your cane & it will stand on its own. No need to find a place to lean it against so you can go about your day a little more independently.

Good product, fits most walking sticks, better anti-skid ability than single point rubber tip, added safety while walking.
