Good configurability - to zone coverage distance. It's split in three, so you can pick the right distances to suit location. Important if you have close plants or other things that could nuisance trigger and longer paths that are unobscured. Creep zone is helpful and not featured on some of the other sensors - if you are installing high in proximity of a door it will give coverage. The remote is handy to quickly set preferences without running up and down a ladder. It also has some handy presets - including a walk test, lux and duration. Far better than twiddling dials. The instructions could be clearer - I'll agree that some of the translations into English are not the clearest. But switch it on and configure it within first minute via remote and you will be fine. If I understand correctly it will only accept the commands from the remote for the first minute after switching on - for obvious security reasons. Support is available in UK, if you need it, although I haven't as it's fairly standard most of the time. Warranty is good, as it should be - it is a more expensive product, but unlikely you need it. In many years of using the products I've needed it only once. Overall happy with the different models I've installed and this one in particular. They look good, have good features and work reliably.

These are the best pir sensor you can buy, even better when on offer at £75! Used them for years and they are the only ones I get no trouble from. The only reason for 4 stars was the fact the wrong colour version was sent out, ordered black with clear lens, received black with black lens. No biggy but not what was ordered.

Bought this to replace the earlier 6005 version that has satisfactorily operated my security lights since its 2007 install. I mistakenly assumed the connections would be the same and connection would be straight forward — WRONG! This comes with a remote control + tiny self-locking, push-in connectors integrated into the body — with no means of removing the wires once they are locked in (what happened to demountable screw clamp connectors) and a Steinel instruction leaflet & video that doesn't make the power-in and lighting feed connections clear. Unable to return as push-in connectors are damaged during a wiring swap-over — items now binned! Not all upgraded models are an improvement :-[

Difficult to understand the wiring diagrams even for a qualified electrician. Couldn’t get to work So I am returning it.
