Color looks good and yes since it is dishwasher safe the sturdiness remains in its clean new look, feel texture and color after clean or wash! I also highly recommend using these Asia Chopsticks metal, steel and fiberglass ones over the wooden ones, mainly since the wooden ones ware over time and these ones I just gotten on the listing here on Amazon.com is a great excellent quality ones and does not stain, rust or anything.

High quality lightweight and easy to use. These are really nice and look casual or formal. Holds noodles, sushi, and thin meat firmly. They clean easily with no residue or chipping. The ends for food do not become rough with use which may be unsettling for guests. Great quality and perfect for new users

Great generous set of chopsticks. I’m tired of using the break-apart wooden ones. These are sturdy, comfortable and well made. They’re not slippery and they grip the food well also.

I mean really, what can you say about chopsticks but I am impressed! The design on them are pretty, they seem quite solid and I am happy I bought them. I had purchased the wood type previously and they kept breaking, such a pain. I have not put these in the dishwasher so can't speak to the but overall I think these are great.
