Real leather. Soft. Perfect size. Best wallet I have had in years. I took the insert out to make it thinner. My wife loved it and confiscated it to put cards in for travel purposes.

Wallet itself seems to be very good quality, feels lovely to hold and is spacious. The colour is just as pictured and great for a gift. The tin it came in was less fortunate, it had a large dent and was not able to close properly. Not a big deal but definitely noticeable.
